i have no way to correct or remove headline hyperbole. i dislike it as much as anyone.
It's always possible to include a disclaimer or correction in your post, or find another source. In this case, it's not so much a problem of hyperbole, it's the clickbait ("What they found will shock you") that indicates it's not serious journalism.
i often look for an alternate source, not always.
in the past, i completely dismissed “Shocking!” as a sure sign of tabloid content, i found it easy to ignore.
the internet fairly normalized tabloid journalism, much harder to avoid. ugh.
esp when msm so often implements their methods.
i ignore/refuse to click on the vast majority of what appears, i presume others do, too.
example, MSNow must be worse than (Robert’s banned) CNN.
their headlines are so bad, so biased, i don’t open.
instagram is a different format, i have no idea how ro date anything on instagram.
i believed the Tulsi piece was recent, to repeat, i auto-dismiss the “shocking” headline language. i barely notice it anymore.
the content doesn’t continue it. that disconnect happens a lot.
i’ll think about how to add a short disclaimer for stupid headlines. maybe that’s it: stupid headline
