Re: Transitional Churches
How quickly are they changing? Have you put a stop watch on them? My daughter can change her clothes in about 8 seconds if properly motivated.Southerner wrote: ↑Thu Jun 05, 2025 1:51 pmRedo. Re: Transitional Churches
Having several Holdeman (COGICM) friends, I'm curious if you have found this to be more of a cold weather / practicality issue, or an actual transition away from dresses? And having some association with several of the various OGBBC groups, I'm wondering if you could expand a little on the various changes you mentioned happening among the OGBBC-NC folks? Thanks!Southerner wrote: ↑Thu Jun 05, 2025 1:51 pmRedo. "Some COGICM woman are now wearing slacks. Re: Transitional Churches
I think the gb patterns look very nice and particularly the old brethren are some of the most aesthetically pleasing. My wife however disagrees and has no interest at all in wearing a German Baptist, so to speak.R7ehr wrote: ↑Thu Jun 05, 2025 1:24 pmSo many questions! Those must be some strong women. Re: Transitional Churches
So it's not a cold weather issue and neither is it a transition away from dresses. However, they will wear slacks out in public and to be fair, they are modest. I gather that their congregation is more progressive within the CoGICM.Heirbyadoption wrote: ↑Mon Jun 09, 2025 9:20 am Southerner, am bumping this up. And sorry I don't have time to elaborate on the shift within New Conference. If I was retired, I could.

Re: Transitional Churches
I very much doubt any cogicm congregation is doing this. Are you sure they are still members?Southerner wrote: ↑Tue Jun 17, 2025 1:53 pmSo it's not a cold weather issue and neither is it a transition away from dresses. Can you be a school board member and not be a member of the church?JohnH wrote: ↑Tue Jun 17, 2025 2:10 pmI very much doubt any cogicm congregation is doing this.
