So many questions! Those must be some strong women. How does one go about sourcing and selecting a German Baptist to wear?

How quickly are they changing? Have you put a stop watch on them? My daughter can change her clothes in about 8 seconds if properly motivated.

Having several Holdeman (COGICM) friends, I'm curious if you have found this to be more of a cold weather / practicality issue, or an actual transition away from dresses? And having some association with several of the various OGBBC groups, I'm wondering if you could expand a little on the various changes you mentioned happening among the OGBBC-NC folks? Thanks!

I think the gb patterns look very nice and particularly the old brethren are some of the most aesthetically pleasing. My wife however disagrees and has no interest at all in wearing a German Baptist, so to speak.

So it's not a cold weather issue and neither is it a transition away from dresses. However, they will wear slacks out in public and to be fair, they are modest. I gather that their congregation is more progressive within the CoGICM.

And sorry I don't have time to elaborate on the shift within New Conference. If I was retired, I could.

I very much doubt any cogicm congregation is doing this. Are you sure they are still members?

Can you be a school board member and not be a member of the church?

Most of the rest of us aren't retired either... ;) You're welcome to PM me if you'd rather not open up a full thread discussion on here. Having just spent several days at the OGBBC NC Annual Conference, I really would be grateful to hear a couple of your observations.
