Is that what you want for your kids? To leave school at age 12 and start working full time. And get married by age 15?Josh wrote: ↑Thu Mar 09, 2023 7:29 pmMy grandpa worked full time at age 12. Arkansas Gov. Sarah Sanders Just Signed A Law That Will Roll Back Child Labor Protections
The governor’s office called the work permit process “an arbitrary burden,” but the federal solicitor of labor said children shouldn’t be allowed to work dangerous jobs, “full stop.”

I admire the way my grandparents lived very much. It would be wonderful if their degree of hard work, grit, and determination could be restored.
However, I foresee my children going thru 8th grade and the working and getting married around 18 - 20, like everyone else in church does.

From what i understand about the Arkansas change, it involves paperwork, does not threaten safety of minors.Josh wrote: ↑Thu Mar 09, 2023 8:19 pm I admire the way my grandparents lived very much. It would be wonderful if their degree of hard work, grit, and determination could be restored.

The idea that “every student must graduate with a 4 year degree” (or else they’re a loser) is destructive. With gov guaranteed student loans, it certainly serves banks and universities! Too often leaving propagandized students holding a big bag of debt.
Before indoctrinating students with “you MUST have a college degree!” They need serious lessons on the grave aspects of debt, and personal responsibility for debt. Anything short of this is a lie. (Lies by omission of facts.) No matter how popular.
Millions of “uninitiated” migrants will impact cultural and economic realities in the U.S.
There is no instant/magical change of cultural differences (like that of older minors seen as young adults, capable of gainful employment for their families).
For some years, many have been questioning the “one size fits all” education model.
Regardless, the cultural lie that “4 year degree, minimum, or you’re a loser” mentality needs to go.
It will be interesting to see how brand-new Governor Sanders does in office:
Sarah Huckabee Sanders is the 47th Governor of Arkansas.

temporal1,
Notice how the liberals simultaneously tell us how important every child going through 12th grade plus college…
and then tell us we desperately need a flood of uneducated illegal aliens to fill jobs.

Re: Excessive violence in schools
o.yes. i’ve noticed.
that is, for children allowed to live.
add to your point, the desperation to 1) wholesale prevent/exterminate the unborn legal citizens, all socio-economic status, then 2) cry for need of illegals for numbers .. also raises eyebrows.
prevent/kill your own children, so as to claim twisted high moral ground for providing for others’ children.
you cannot make this up.
It’s devastation to U.S. families AND families left behind elsewhere, for “the American Dream.” The now godless dream.
The degreed blind leading tempting the uneducated blind.

So we don't have to worry because your uneducated kids will do those low-wage jobs?

Re: Excessive violence in schools
Perhaps the so called “uneducated” and “immigrants” don’t need to be doing the “low wage” jobs the elites think they should be doing.
Perhaps the elites should have their own children taking care of them when they are aged, cleaning their houses and so forth.

Elites can pay for any private assistance they need. Nurses, gardeners, maids, cooks, etc.Josh wrote: ↑Sat Mar 11, 2023 1:29 pmPerhaps the so called “uneducated” and “immigrants” don’t need to be doing the “low wage” jobs the elites think they should be doing.

It will be the non-elites who suffer if there are not enough people to work at ordinary nursing homes or do home health care at Medicaid wages. Especially in less desirable rural areas.

No, it’s the non-elites who suffer right now when their wages are completely hollowed out by employers who import scabs.Ken wrote: ↑Sat Mar 11, 2023 8:37 pmElites can pay for any private assistance they need. Nurses, gardeners, maids, cooks, etc.
