I have no idea how it works. Do they moderate content? Copyright violations? Illegal child porn? Or do they moderate who the users are (over age 18). Or all of the above?Only an Anz wrote: ↑Mon Dec 12, 2022 5:02 pmPH is moderated; they actually had a lot of backlash just a couple years ago for adding more moderation.Ken wrote: ↑Mon Dec 12, 2022 4:59 pmI doubt that. Pornhub and XVideo are two of the most popular web sites in the world. Bigger than Netflix and a LOT bigger than Twitter. Both make tens of billions of dollars per year. With Elon's genius touch I'm sure he could beat that. Porn is essentially just unmoderated free speech.Only an Anz wrote: ↑Mon Dec 12, 2022 4:41 pm
yeah and for anyone other than the uber-rich, a fast lane to prison.

I am not in that industry, so I couldn't tell you exactly how it works, eitherKen wrote: ↑Mon Dec 12, 2022 5:03 pmI have no idea how it works. Do they moderate content? ^^more content for Bunny Trails??
one thing i appreciate about Musk is his choice to avoid the vulgar, AND eliminating child exploitation on Twitter.
he proves it’s not a necessity for life or business!
he’s doing a lot of good that is overlooked.

It is just a random example of why unmoderated free speech is not actually a reality.

Musk is certainly the most interesting persona that the news has to offer. While he is no "savior" by any stretch, I appreciate some of his efforts to "give back". He appears to be a person who is able to deal with business decisions in a 3-D level mode.Robert wrote: ↑Mon Dec 12, 2022 11:58 amI honestly think he bought it for down the road tech purposes. I think what he found bothered him so much he us just feeling the need to dump all the corruption that was taking place. Elon Musk is not a altruistic person, but he does have some good foundational principles he works from. I listened to his Babylon Bee interview and he shares some of that there.

I also wasn’t sure at the beginning of the files were legit. My opinion now is that the files are actually HBs, but I’m not sure I believe the story of how the laptops got to the repair shop.RZehr wrote: ↑Mon Dec 12, 2022 2:58 pmI don’t know specifically. All I know, is that in 2020, I didn’t even believe that any laptop or files even existed at all. The whole thing reeked of just one more lie from the wingnutiest wing of the Republican Party. I figured Giuliani and his ilk fabricated it out of whole cloth.
Now, I believe that a laptop probably did exist. And that the media discredited it because it wasn’t helping the liberals. If it helped the liberals, the media would have fluffed, and puffed up any shred of evidence or misdeeds into, oh, 2500% to 4500%, like they did nonstop with the “illegal Russian collusion”.
*Do I think there was Russian collusion? No. Do I think the Trump campaign cared about legalities, or would have told the Russians no? No I don’t. So, while the Trump campaign was quite unethical and criminally prone, I don’t know of any actual, specific “collusion” that was proven. And this fact is an example of the media bias that so thoroughly disposes of any shred of credibility that the media thinks may still exist in journalism.
*also do not think there was *collusion.*

Ken,
Could you explain Hunter Biden’s qualifications for a $50,000/mo consulting job for the Ukraine?

It's nice you don't *think* that, but there is literal proof of collusion in the twitter files. No one is even disputing the content of those files.

I’m not sure what you’re talking about. I was referring to the Trump Russia debacle.

(Ben Shapiro is not a fan of DJT, he’s not an emotional hater.) He has a law degree; he interprets through that lens.

one would think it's a CEO's business to find out once you get drug in front of Congress.
