I wonder if it would work to have, on one Twitter, a main living room/dining room where respectable conversation and advertising takes place; and more of a free speech backyard where other people could gather around the dumpster fire and cesspool. Maybe have a paywall or 21 year old minimum to enter that backyard beer garden.

Other forums have tried that. It takes about a nanosecond for an unmoderated forum to be filled with the purveyors of porn, financial and health-related scams like erectile dysfunction meds, and every violent, racist, and extremist ideology that gets squeezed out of civilized conversation.

violence is often a last resort mainly based in hopelessness. (not always, in contemporary times we see many quite well-fed with designer clothes, etc., in acts of violence .. for .. covetousness?)

history’s standard is probably that hopelessness leads to violence.
Congress throws around a lot of $$$ to keep the unwashed masses pacified. Temporarily.

i can see violence at some point. probably deeper into the $30 trillion petty cash drawer. play money.

I doubt that. Pornhub and XVideo are two of the most popular web sites in the world. Bigger than Netflix and a LOT bigger than Twitter. Both make tens of billions of dollars per year. With Elon's genius touch I'm sure he could beat that. Porn is essentially just unmoderated free speech.

PH is moderated; they actually had a lot of backlash just a couple years ago for adding more moderation.
