QuietlyListening wrote: ↑Tue Nov 01, 2022 11:31 am I find it rather sad that on a forum where most of the posters say they are believers - the things being posted about the attack on Nancy Pelosi's husband are political. Whatever happened, and I certainly do not know as I wasn't there, the man is in the hospital and had serious brain trauma. Having had a husband who experience brain trauma less than a year ago and thankfully he did not need surgery- wouldn't it be better if our focus was on praying for the 2 of them and praying that they would have hearts softened from this and be open to hearing about our Lord and the gift of salvation?
The man, a closeted homosexual, was meeting with another homosexual and the tryst went wrong. It is unclear why there was an altercation.
Really, you should read the criminal complaint, which contains testimony from the perpetrator. Here's what happened:

Josh wrote: ↑Tue Nov 01, 2022 1:43 pm It is very disappointing that the Democrats decided to make this a political issue.
I think the perpetrator did that. And I agree with QuietlyListening - our job as Christians is to respond as Christians, not to be loyal footsoldiers in the political wars. Yes, this really is a terrible thing that should not have happened. Let's pray for the victims and recognize this event for what it is.
I don’t believe every criminal complaint as gospel truth.

Particularly the San Francisco DA, which spent the last few years refusing to prosecute crimes like these. Only the rich and powerful are protected.

No random nutcase off the street has the power to control “the narrative.”
Not happenin’. However, shameless powerful partisans demand control of the narrative.

It is mildly amusing, and depressing, to witness the double-talk and fast-dancing put on display. The best money can buy.
Against?? Some random nutcase one step from homeless? The Show must go on!

The White House has had more attacks with less drama.

WHO WOULD HAVE GUESSED?? -

Elon Musk seems to share a comedic gift of succinct satire with The Babylon Bee. 🐝
Like The Bee, he’s thriving without leaning on coarseness/profanity.

Page 9:
i read a comment somewhere that speculated Elon Musk may be about to save free speech AND comedy.
we’re about to find out.

“Elon Musk is having fun trolling twits about $8 a month blue check fee – and not just AOC”
https://www.bizpacreview.com/2022/11/03 ... c-1304158/

He labels himself: Chief Twit
(i think) a respectable starting place.

Imagine if Congress would consider a bit of self-deprecating humility.

Vijaya Gadde’s childhood picture

Bio / Vijaya Gadde Age, Boyfriend, Husband, Family, Biography & More

April 2022 / Twitter’s top lawyer reassures staff, cries during meeting about Musk takeover
Vijaya Gadde, a key executive involved in decisions to remove former President Donald Trump and ban political advertising, expressed uncertainty about the future of the platform.
https://www.politico.com/news/2022/04/2 ... r-00027931
Gadde, who has worked at Twitter since 2011, is the key executive charged with overseeing Twitter’s trust and safety, legal and public policy functions. She is seen internally as Twitter’s “moral authority” and the executive tasked with handling sensitive issues like harassment and dangerous speech.

Gadde played a leading role in negotiating the deal between Twitter and Musk, according to one person familiar with the dynamics.

She has shepherded Twitter through some of its most contentious political battles,
including the decisions to remove all political advertising and to boot former President Donald Trump from the platform
in the wake of the Jan. 6 attack on Capitol Hill — a position that has earned her devoted fans within Twitter, as well as a large contingent of right-wing critics. ..
Quite an ego-trip for a young woman to decide to “boot” a sitting U.S. president!
A lot of power for someone never elected to any office. Food for thought.

From ex-CEO Parag Agrawal to Vijaya Gadde, here are the top Twitter executives who have been fired or left since Elon Musk's takeover

Gadde is the one who thinks you should be banned and lose your job for saying “men can’t get pregnant”.

THE POWER GRANTED HER is breathtaking. Greater-than POTUS. This is intoxicating stuff for anyone.
Yet, she’s so weak/empty she was moved to tears at the idea Musk might buy Twitter. What is this madness?!

She did not buy Twitter. She was paid a handsome salary and GRANTED power.

i first began to think about (who’s behind the scenes?) several years ago when Robert pointed out the probable description of “average FB employees” .. nothing there like well-educated+studied editors of the past. No evidence they exist even for remote oversight.
(FB suspended my account - coincidentally, a few weeks before the 2016 election.) My FB account was largely unused. Even moreso since.

i began to think of MSM employees - many young graduates of lib-indoctrinating colleges.
There are statistics on the vast imbalance of university profs being liberals, no attempt at balance, no explanation or apology. Not just state universities. Christian schools are hard-pressed not to go woke, too.

The Elon Musk purchase may be more important than could be imagined.

She was probably crying because she knew her $20 million a year salary for a job doing nothing but silencing conservatives was coming to an end. Now she might have to get a real job.

Was her salary actually $20 million annually?
Did she truly do nothing at all, other than silencing conservatives?

In the above biography, it states, in 2021, she was making $17 million/annually (+unknown perks).
Career
• Described by Fortune as the most powerful woman on Twitter’s executive team in 2014 (Later, she was joined by Chief Marketing Officer of Twitter Leslie Berland)
• Described by Politico as ‘the most powerful social media executive you’ve never heard of’ in 2020
• Listed in the Badass 50 ‘2020: Meet the women who are changing the world’ by Instyle magazine
As the legal and policy head at Twitter, Vijaya was often called the ‘censor chief‘ of Twitter.
Being “hep” and prideful is highly marketable. No doubt, censoring POTUS was a big thrill.
(“They” must have liked it, now Biden is censored, no one bats an eye.) Well, not many are questioning .. “Who are these wizards?!” “These self-appointed Masters of the Universe?!”

Still, houses built on sand .. may lead to tears of regret. Matthew 7:26

As a woman, i’m ashamed to see what so many women are doing and aspiring to do in this world.
The world was promised “everything would be better” by putting women in the workplace, women in power.
Now this. Now this.
