Falco’s words in another topic can be readily altered to apply in lots of topics:

I can't make heads or tails of what you think .. .. (or what you think
I think) .. ..
You'll have to be more specific. What exactly is your argument with me?
It reminds of the “Never Trump” phenomena.
For those in the Never Trump camp, anything short of “vociferous” hate of Trump is interpretted as idol-worship, when, in fact, esp on this forum, DJT is rarely referenced without conditional words, clearly+vociferously stating a non-idol-worship stance. Ignored.
From Feb 24, some present have “done the unthinkable,” by asking questions about the West’s, the Left-West’s, and U.S. involvement that may have led to the invasion, or provoked it? - Could the invasion have been prevented? Could resolution been accomplished early-on?
Turns out, there are experienced, respected diplomats who warned about this - for years prior. Ignored.
This is worth consideration.
It brings more questions about, why would any in the West WANT a hot war?!
Who are the winners? (Let’s not pretend there are no winners.)
It’s overly simplistic to use the often useful analogy of, “a woman doesn’t deserve to be raped because of her skimpy clothing,”
or, “a man doesn’t deserve to be robbed because he’s wearing an expensive watch in a crime-prone area.”
Possibly a better analogy would be of dirty gang wars in inner cities: No clean hands. No fairy tales.
This is hardly “eagerness to justify” Putin.
It’s attempting to reject propaganda - that’s leading to a hot war, based on, “It’s ok to fight back - the other guy started it.”
It’s easy to fall for it. The U.S./Congress loves it! $$$$ “We’re the good guys!” Bomb away!
