US Attacks Iran 2026

Things that are not part of politics happening presently and how we approach or address it as Anabaptists.

You might possibly be more qualified to see truth through the smoke screens of nationalism, patriotism and empire. You haven't surrendered to the ideology that violence is redemptive. Don't let the Valeries of the world discourage your idealism.
I’m not a Christian nationalist.
It’s just silly to get an understanding of a war going on through the eyes of Mennonites with very little access to information from experts and why should they care anyway?
I really don’t understand your interest do attentively trying to “guess” your way through this. Surely that is obvious.
I’m “interested “ but not riled by current events & Biblical prophecy. And I do vote so being in the dark doesn’t help.

Everyone who doesn’t follow close or vote- can certainly pray. I pray about it all, as we should.

Regarding bias, you absolutely can be sure Democrats are against anything & everything Trump does & always has (10 years so far) EXCEPT Democrat Senator John Fetterman of PA who agrees with Trumps actions on Iran & he doesn’t mind speaking up at where he parts from his party.

I’m not talking down, just explaining why it doesn’t make sense to suggest with your limitations why you can be so critical of Trump and the Iranian situation and please quit accusing me of things that aren’t true as well.

Just for a little perspective. I read the history of Baptist and quite a few of their publications. I’ve listened to sermons and met a lot of Anabaptist people.

If I was on some kind of discussion form where Anna baptism came up, how would you feel about me being a spokesperson for a complete understanding and ideology with my limited information I don’t think you would appreciate me being a spokesperson for an understanding of all things Anabaptism.

What interviews are you watching?
Various people some in military, some retired (so I have been familiar with the situation and I ran for a long time), some politicians, etc. it’s very interesting actually but grievoussst the same time. It would be strange to depend on Anabaptist perspective on these situations.
I am sorry, but I don't understand. And it's "very interesting actually but grievous"????

Who on here is being a "spokesperson" about Iran? I am simply interested in the interviews that you are watching...still waiting.

It's possible to be informed by those calling themselves experts and know less than before.

I'm curious about these interviews too; I wouldn't mind being able to download them and listen to them when I'm driving around. I do prefer longer interviews to short "sound bites", clips, or interviews that only run total time for a few minutes.

Here is an interview with JD Vance for 3.5 hours:

(Be warned strong language is used by both JD Vance and the interviewer.) I found it informative but also troubling in the sense that JD Vance says he is trying to negotiate a deal / ceasefire but there he is facing a lot of opposition. Who, exactly, is behind trying to stop a peace deal? Why is there anybody in our government doing that?

It certainly feels to me like you are. What limitations exactly do you think I have? Why do you think I have very little access to information?

I have access to too much information, to the point I can't figure out what's going on. If I wanted to get up to date on the Iran situation, I can find multiple conflicting worldviews on both the left, the right, and in the middle.
