They do the thing depicted all the time. And no, they aren't "cult leaders", even if I do disagree with some of their doctrine and practice.
When my husband was in a coma from stroke & sepsis 21 years ago, the intensive care nurse Dean was not very positive about him coming out of it- so as was the way we believe, I was praying over him like pictured, laying hands on him and praying out loud. Dean was working on the patient on the other side of the curtain. While I was praying, Neil started coming out of his coma (I’m sure Dean could hear me praying) and I shouted over to Dean “Dean, he’s coming out of it!” So Dean came over & it was the beginning of Neil’s healing. As Pentecosts it was what we were taught to do from Scripture. It didn’t seem “weird” to do what Jesus taught.
Nothing weird at all about a believer praying for healing, or church leaders anointing the sick with oil. Nothing weird about a Pentecostal preacher depicted *as himself* praying for the sick. A Pentecostal preacher depicted *as Jesus* gets into weird territory, and an unbeliever depicted as Jesus has fully reached that destination.

John 9:31 suggests that such a prayer would not be heard anyway.

Assuming he actually was “depicted as Jesus”. I am not convinced some AI slop image generator can generate accurate depictions of Jesus.

Who knows, I think it was symbolic you’d have to hear the artists explanation. We do “Represent” & put on Christ with His power, I don’t know if Trump realizes or maybe he just wanted to ruffle feathers - Trump removed it leaving TDS in its wake, when will he learn.

Not that a real person could do any better. Or should.

Good try on the Pentecostal thing!

I laughed at out loud at finding out trump totally missed the Christian symbolism and thought he was just a doctor of some sort.

I believe the proper way to think of Trump from a pentecoastal perspective is that hes a Cyrus type figure. His diehard supporters think of him in messianic terms, even if they arent pentecoastal.

It also suggests that Trump doesn’t know what a doctor looks like.

Romans 13:14:

New King James Version
But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

Some translations say “Clother yourself with Christ” and so all depends if you look at the symbolic artwork the author was using.

Indeed “some” of his base believe he was put in place by the Lord for such a time as this- I actually heard that by one of the Republicans who was originally campaigning. If Trump gives glory to God line he does, he obviously doesn’t see himself as God.

Anyway, he humbled himself and took it down, so hopefully people can sleep tonight.

The idea Trump thinks he is a god crosses into the domain of paranoid delusions.
Not a god, a god anointed dictator. Putting his name on everything is the stuff of Assad or the Kim’s of Korea. A megalomaniac in short.
