Yes it is and he posted it right after attacking the Pope for criticizing him.
It’s trolling, but my hunch is that the kind of trolling someone engages in reveals something about their worldview and self-understanding.

He has been told by many, &!Ive heard some of them, say that they believe God has raised him up to lead this country for such a time as this.
That isn't the message I get. It doesn't look like God is using him...it seems like he is cosplaying the Christ, the Savior, the Healer. The imagery of the praying hands, being elevated above and reverently looked up to, the birds (eagle in place of a dove - interestingly) above his head, the Angels (replaced by, of course, American militia) heralding the Healer's arrival. The Golden Orb of magical power in his hands...Trump certainly isn’t the artist but the artist seems to convey God is using him in many ways and Trump seems to take those thoughts to heart and use them in his “job” he was voted to do.
I think what you’re arguing is theologically dangerous. I think once we say that a political leader was “raised up by God,” you run the risk of turning them into an idol and someone whose actions are beyond critique because they carry God’s authority.Valerie wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2026 8:20 amHe has been told by many, &!Ive heard some of them, say that they believe God has raised him up to lead this country for such a time as this.
Reminder- he said during his inaugural speech that America needs to return to God. Granted if he uses our military as Commander in Chief to who help prevent more deaths by those who have that as their intent, you will never see Anabaptists agreeing with that.

But of course. And in this case, it reveals nothing new about Trump.

It is a new low...that really is blasphemy.mike wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2026 8:46 amBut of course. And in this case, it reveals nothing new about Trump.
Wife: I’m going to try to get into this without being political. it makes me think about what happened to Nebuchadnezzar at the height of his empire, and how God gave him seven years of insanity and humiliation to bring him to his knees. Then he returned, and was given back his kingdom, and ruled in humility, as far as we can tell.joshuabgood wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2026 9:58 amIt is a new low...that really is blasphemy.

Our current president is a human (they all are so far, by the way), with a bunch of human faults, and we should be praying for him. I don’t see any appropriate reason for him to have posted this picture on truth social,
but I think we need to remember that the verse about praying for those in authority includes those we don’t like,
because God desires all men to repent.
