There are two logical outcomes then. Either President Trump is toothless or he meant his threat of annihilation.
Or they’re negotiating- which is the case.
Of course they’re negotiating. So are you disputing what I just said?

Not sure where you live, but I just paid $6.70/ gallon for diesel the other day...highest I have ever paid for fuel.
It's $4.89 here.

There are prices of things other than just fuel.

I paid $3.59 at Costco last fill up. This is temporary, I suspect you live in a blue state, maybe I’m wrong, OH has NO such prices, not even close.
We bought a hybrid, perhaps you should buy an electric car?
$3.59 at Costco for us too... I try to get 88 whenever I can find a Sheetz with it and that was $3.39. I try to bring a bunch of fuel cannisters and fill them up and then fill up all our other cars when I find it cheap.

Of course, like fertilizer which is in the stratosphere right now. Double what I paid during the Biden admin.

Well I’m not sure it’s “toothless” or annihilation- we won’t know for a couple of weeks. Perhaps he didn’t expect Iran to have their citizens form human chains of women & youth around the power plant and men to line the bridges so fortunately, Iran agreed to open up the straight, perhaps God answered our prayers yet maybe in 2 weeks the same threat could take place. One thing is clearly stated by all military interviewed, Iran cannot be trusted and they said President Trump knows this.

The price of gas seems like an overblown measure of things most of the time. Politicians love to make hay with it. We pay about $3.50 a gal these days, up about $.80 since the war - an annoyance, but certainly not a hardship. The hardship is being felt by those in the war zone, including the 3,000+ who have died, and the damage, fear, and displacement that millions are facing in the wake of the war.

I am thankful for the ceasefire and hopeful it will lead to a lasting end to hostilities. Like many others, I have been appalled by President Trump's reckless, profane, and apocalyptic posturing over the past few days. I suppose one could say that it worked in that it brought about a deal, but I believe it came at significant longterm cost in terms of the American relationship with the wider world. Our "deal-maker in chief" seems to play for the short game, often at the cost of the long game. The repercussions will be generational in nature.

From what I’m hearing including a representative of the UN last night, everyone seems in an agreement that Iran is a force that needs reckoned with- they’re just not helping make themselves safer even knowing that. Iran recently fired a missile 2,500 miles which certainly can make other countries nervous.

So it remains to be seen but prophetically speaking it seems unrealistic to expect “world peace” until the New Jerusalem comes down from heaven.

What’s interesting is that the Iranian’s 10-point demands / plan are the same 10 points from the beginning of the war. All that bombing and killing hasn’t shifted their position at all. I’m curious to see what will be negotiated, but considering the fact that the Iranians were negotiating with the US before the attack, I’m not convinced this will go anywhere. We’ll see.

i’m perfectly comfortable with an older, wiser, more docile Trump.

Nobody is expecting world peace. Just end this conflict.
