It is of course tragic so many children have died, likely as a result of a US missile strike. Is also distressing that the president and secretary of war are not owning up to what has apparently happened. The President continues to blame Iran for the bombing.
At least Sen. Kennedy is acknowledging the tragedy and the US role in it.
I think the department is investigating it now, and I'm sorry. I'm just so sorry it happened. It was a mistake.

I'm not used to agreeing with people named Sen. Kennedy; for most of my life the name has prompted almost Pavlovian disagreement. Unlearning that can be a challenge.
i’m fine with Kennedy’s statement. it seems sincere. he could be mistaken.
As far as i understand, this article below describes T’s position.
Others may know more.
March 8 / “Trump blames Iran for strike that killed school girls - as US investigators point to American bomb”
Michael Waltz, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, declined to fully endorse the president’s assertion that Iran had been to blame for the strike when asked Sunday

Personally, i don’t find anything disappointing in T asking questions, investigations are in process.
He has STRONG confidence in the U.S. military. It’s reasonable for him to want to be certain about what happened.
i don’t fault that.
i believe he loathes war and killing, he’s been consistent - altho he’s not CO or a pacifist.
It seems there’s little or no question, if the U.S. is responsible, which could be, it was a horrfying mistake.
If Iran, it could have been incompetence, or worse, intentional.
Speculation is speculation.
Time usually vindicates, or proves wrong. Either way, it’s speculation.
To myself, i speculated Elizabeth Smart’s father was involved in her disappearance. i was pretty sure.
i was 100% wrong.
i’m very happy to say.
Sometimes i think it’s best to want to be wrong. Esp when thinking negatively about others.
