We shall see. I admit some scepticism as well but there are some historical parallels like Sinn Fein or PLO who shifted the struggle from violence to politics.
No one trusts terrorists, why would they?
One of the hostages that was released was just on the news. He’s have to weight that he was before being captured. He said I don’t know why anybody would be surprised about what Thomas is doing right now. I personally didn’t trust that they would follow through. I do trust that President Trump will follow through on his threats that if they don’t disarm, they will BE one disarmed.

I don't know who Thomas is but that is a bold prediction about P. Trump. I predict he will stay engaged as long as there is personal glory or praise for him and not much longer.

I find them surprisingly honest. Especially compared to political figures.

That’s the point of the “terrorist” designation.

In the brief ABC report on Hamas violence following Phase 1,
General Abrams, top of P.70 / https://forum.mennonet.com/viewtopic.ph ... &start=690
they speculated Trump’s words/promises did NOT translate to U.S. boots on the ground in Gaza. That others in the region would be most likely to get the job done wrt disarming Hamas.

i hope that’s correct. And short work.

i’m perfectly comfortable with an older, wiser, more docile Trump.

I think they lie, or dramatically stretch the truth about civilian casualties from time to time.

Can you show me any government that doesn't do the same?

He’s the figurehead, as all presidents and heads of state are.
He has some really good appointees to do the legwork. As the best leaders do.

i learned so long ago, “management is everything” when it comes to earthly endeavors, business, government, families, churches. Volunteer work. Good managers bring out the best in others, they put the right people in the right places.

Who hasn’t noticed this IRL?
Some are able to motivate, to make work rewarding and worthwhile. It’s a combination of skill, experience, gift.
Some are jealous of it. Sad as it is.

It’s part of life.

You are very welcome to try and do a better job and instead of just knocking those that are trying to help do something about it otherwise maybe you should pay a little bit more attention to the fact that Hamas started this whole thing on October 7 to innocent people and made it their mission to destroy every Jew.

You should read what I actually write not what you think I write.

Hamas is very clear as to their opinion on Israel. They are not lying. I never spoke ill of our President, I've expressed disagreements with his tactics but what he does, other presidents have done and I've objected then too.
Politicians lie. Military leaders lie. Hamas is quite open on their opinion don't you think? Saying someone who wants to kill a nation is honest about what they want isn't the same thing as saying they are good or just.
