They are human, in need of prayers for salvation, but, unpredictable.

The Christian way is to live and negotiate in good faith, esp with moral equivalency faith that all parties, at their core, want peace on earth. 9-11 demonstrated, no. Not all value peace, even their own safety and well being. There are different value systems that might be recognized and accepted as reality, even when they can’t be understood.

So. continuing prayers for mutually accepted resolution. continuing prayers for converted hearts. domestic+foreign.
You sure about that, temporal1? After 9-11, I saw many "Christian" people calling for a violent war and invasion out of some sense of vengeance, along with a great increase in government spending and a loss of civil liberties.

Yes, not all are nonviolent, not all are even sane.

However, cowardly ambush+execute UNPROVOKED attacks on the unarmed, unprotected, defenseless, vulnerable, are not acceptable in Christian tenets. Even young children easily grasp the foundational wrong of it. “Shooting fish in a barrel”, etc.

UNPROVOKED, like abortion.

In recent times, the word “terrorist” has been romanticized and even glorified so that too many accept it as “normal”.
Raw COWARDICE is NOT normal, not for Christians.

i’m afraid video games contribute to the romanticism of terrorists / AKA, cowards. i’m sorry to say.
They nearly always “dress up” in black or military gear - as if playing a hollywood role. spare us.

i’m sorry.
when lobbing bombs, carrying guns, knives to murder, what difference does it make what you’re wearing?!
your stupid clothes aren’t going to harm anyone.

not even sitting ducks.

it’s the same bad math, whether an insane idiot on a light rail train executing a defenseless young woman, or bombing civilian crowds in Israel. really stupid stuff. i’d like to see COWARDICE reduced to the low level it deserves. not romanticized and glorified.

Then the invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq was not acceptable according to Christian tenets?

So Hamas is going to lay down its weapons and bring peace? Hmmm....

A wee little man can’t say, I’m sorry. A big man owns his mistakes and apologizes.
A wee little man trusts himself and his own discernment. A big man is humble enough to know that he needs the counsel and input of others.

More on P.70 / https://forum.mennonet.com/viewtopic.ph ... &start=690
It’s a TENUOUS agreement, Phase 1 was centered on returning hostages. Phase 2 has begun, expected to be difficult.

This is a BAD time for news reporting, social media, the internet.
Peace is not a goal of “news” reporting. NOT PROFITABLE. :-|

Consumers would do well to remember peace is NOT everyone’s goal. :-|

Christians pray for mercy and peace.

We shall see. I admit some scepticism as well but there are some historical parallels like Sinn Fein or PLO who shifted the struggle from violence to politics.

The TRUE BELIEVERS will likely fight to their deaths, no matter agreements. Doing as much harm possible along the way.
obama spoke to this when he was in office. It’s what makes terrorism so terrifying. Terror beyond reason.

All diplomats know this. Horror beyond human reasoning.

True believers aren’t the threat. It’s those who help them along the way or point them.
