This strike is probably an indication that those talks weren't all that satisfactory to the US. If they were, the US would hardly have allowed this to happen.
Or maybe they were succesfull and netanyahu couldn't accept a peace deal with iran and a cease fire in the carnage of gaza and strike iran with the aims of derail the negotiations

But the legacy media has told the qatar money is fueling the hamas attack, the anti semitic protests in campuses on america and every alt media is financed by qatar money and now they are defending israel ????

It appears that Iranian air defenses are practically non-existent at this point.

I've watched the Middle East news ever since the 6 day war in 1967.
What I do know is Iran has been threatening Israel for decades.
I do know that according to multiple nations, Iran has continued to enrich uranium for nuclear bombs.
I do know that a number of Arab nations have allied with Israel and stopped retaliatory missiles against Israel.
That's all I know for sure right now.
We're praying over the entire situation.
Israel has been threatening Iran for decades.

Israel continues to enrich uranium for nuclear bombs and indeed has a nuclear arsenal, although they lie and say they don’t.
They have BOTH been threatening each other for decades. Iran has built up a massive terrorism infrastructure in both Gaza and Lebanon aimed at Israel. So this is very much a “both sides do it” thing.

mike wrote: ↑Fri Jun 13, 2025 11:50 am That statement was made before the strike and was likely a deceptive move to let Iran think they still had time to work out a deal.
My understanding is that diplomatic relations broke down and the Iranians did not want to make a deal (or at least, not on terms acceptable to America / Trump).

If a country won't make a deal with the most powerful country in the world, then they may have trouble facing their nearby enemies on their own. Making a deal with America would have been a very wise thing for Iran to do, and they wouldn't be facing war with Israel, who is more powerful than they are.
They did make a deal with America. And America reneged on it. And Iran has had the past 4 months to watch Trump renege on signed agreements with actual allies around the globe, some that he even signed himself a few short years ago.

So you really can’t blame them for not trusting Trump. He has proven to be the least trustworthy president in American history outside of maybe Andrew Jackson and his treatment of Native Americans.

Going off of the shade of blue sky, and the angle of the lighting, but mostly the Levantine accent of the rooster crowing in that video, I judge this to be actually showing Syrian sky, not Iranian. May be just shy of humiliation instead of beyond it.

It was predicted that if Israel would attack Iran, it would divide MAGA.
such as this...

That seems to be happening as some laud what Israel is doing and others decry it.

This video from 2011 is also being shared around in MAGA world by those who are disappointed that Trump was not strong enough to negotiate with Israel and Iran and keep this war from happening. And they don't like that Trump is congratulating Israel.
“Our president [Obama] will start a war with Iran because he has absolutely no ability to negotiate. He’s weak and he’s ineffective.”

Yeah. If you go to the post on X, it now has reader context added to that effect.

ALBAWABA - Iran conducted a massive missile strike on Israel Thursday night, its most powerful direct attack on Israeli land to date, in a dramatic escalation of regional tensions. Only eighteen hours had passed since Israel launched a broad military campaign against Iranian sites when the attack occurred.
