Israel strikes Iran
Re: Israel strikes Iran
As expected the US/Iran nuclear talks are over. So Israel believes the regime could fall. What are the chances a 'better' regime would emerge anyway?

Take a look at the Arab countries in the region who are also helping Israel intercept Iranian retaliatory strikes.

Re: Israel strikes Iran
I think Russia has a pretty strong interest in trying to keep Iran, China would too.
It will be interesting to see what actually happens, but I doubt we’ll formally get involved. We’ll just do some covert support likely.
Ultimately, though Israel is basically saying, Iran is the bully let’s hit them while they’re sleeping. They’re attacking them to prevent a future problem, which Israel hasn’t exactly done anything for the past who knows how long to fix that, but as demonstrated they have tolerable relations with Arab countries. For instance Pakistan actually has nuclear weapons. Arguably they’re even less stable than Iran. At some point Iran is going to have them and logically Israel should be trying to make peace with them or annihilate them now.

Does it seem to you that Iran is more isolated now than it has been in the past? Russia has plenty of problems of its own.Soloist wrote: ↑Fri Jun 13, 2025 8:53 am I think Russia has a pretty strong interest in trying to keep Iran, China would too.

Not sure if this strike will create a conflict definable as a war, but it will be a little difficult for Trump to claim no new wars were started on his watch.

I don't know who Hen Mazzig is, or how reliable of a source he is...but I find it a bit unbelievable that he has the inside scoop on multiple countries covert military operations. And that no other main news sources from other countries have picked up on this "inside scoop".

Unfortunately, this will not help promote peace in Jerusalem. Nor will it decrease the likelihood of future 911s.

Russia is definitely busy that’s for sure.
Most of our military action has actually been centered on isolating Iran so you’re correct. That being said, only time will tell.

Unverified reports. It is normal that in a situation like this, most information out there could be inaccurate.Nomad wrote: ↑Fri Jun 13, 2025 9:52 amI don't know who Hen Mazzig is, or how reliable of a source he is...but I find it a bit unbelievable that he has the inside scoop on multiple countries covert military operations. Grok wrote:There are unverified reports on X claiming Saudi Arabian jets helped intercept Iranian drones and missiles targeting Israel on June 13, 2025. However, one post disputes this, stating Saudi Arabia did not fire interceptors but may have allowed its airspace to be used. No official confirmation from Saudi or Israeli authorities is available in the provided sources, and web results do not directly address events on this date. Past incidents, like the April 2024 Iranian attack on Israel, indicate Saudi Arabia shared intelligence and may have intercepted objects violating its airspace, but there’s no evidence of Saudi jets engaging targets then. Without official verification, the involvement of Saudi jets today remains inconclusive.
