Absolutely. I'm not so sure about the people around us...is there such a thing as too many Dad jokes?

Re: Membership vs. Church Attendance (numbers)
in biblical, God-fearing churches such as many true hearted Anabaptist churches, the attendance is more than the membership
in the godless, apostate churches teaching false doctrine such as The Episcopal Church, the membership is far more than the attendance.

Re: Thanksgiving- Do you or don't you?
You breathe the trace amounts of smoke that remains in foods after smoking? Weird...

No. Most smoke is carcinogenic. Wood smoke, diesel smoke, tobacco smoke, cannabis smoke, etc. But it is carcinogenic because it damages your lungs and causes lung cancer. So you have to breath it.ken_sylvania wrote: ↑Tue Nov 26, 2024 9:57 pmYou breathe the trace amounts of smoke that remains in foods after smoking? Weird...
The smoke residue that is left on cheese or meats is not breathed. It is eaten. And your stomach and stomach lining is vastly more robust than your lungs. So eating trace amounts of smoke residue on food is not an issue. Burnt meats themselves can be carcinogenic if eaten regularly over long periods of time. But that isn't the smoke residue. That is the charred hunks of meat themselves that have been chemically altered by burning.
So again, standing around a wood fired smoker and breathing the smoke, or sitting on a diesel tractor and breathing the diesel exhaust are both going to be more dangerous in terms of cancer than eating any kind of smoke residue on food.

Thank you, professor Ken! Especially for the illuminating revelation that the trace amounts of diesel smoke that remain in foods after smoking is more carcinogenic than wood smoke.Ken wrote: ↑Tue Nov 26, 2024 10:04 pmNo. Most smoke is carcinogenic. I never claimed that diesel smoke is on foods.ken_sylvania wrote: ↑Tue Nov 26, 2024 10:31 pmThank you, professor Ken! I only asked why people were worried about wood smoke residue on foods like smoked cheese when there are so many other more dangerous carcinogens out there in our lives such as breathing diesel smoke if you work around diesel machinery or frankly, near any highway.

Re: Bunny Trails
I thought it was well established for at least half a century that smoking causes cancer.

Diesel smoke is more carcinogenic than wood smoke, especially the trace amounts [of wood smoke] that remains in foods after smoking.
