Do you?

Diesel smoke is more carcinogenic than wood smoke, especially in the trace amounts that remains in foods after smoking.

I don't think I would like my food coated with diesel smoke either.

Washington/Franklin Conference - Churches in this conference also have a special service on Christmas, Good Friday, and Ascension Day.
I see. I was not aware they had services on some of those other holidays, but not Thanksgiving. How is attendance? Does everybody attend? Do they not have typical family gatherings on Thanksgiving then, or do they just have them after church?

Eating smoke residue is not the issue. Breathing the smoke is. Whether it is wood smoke or diesel smoke. The lungs are a vastly more sensitive organ than the stomach. So tending a wood smoker and breathing the smoke is probably more dangerous than eating the smoked foods afterwards.

From the comparisons of what goes into artificial smoke flavoring or sitting in traffic with the windows open or having to walk through a smoking area to get to the store I have to say my risk is pretty low while smoking and eating smoked meat or cheese. Unless I eat too much cheese. Then there’s the need for an intervention with laxatives.

The human race cooked on wood fire for thousands and thousands of years while others sat nearby and breathed in the smoke. I’m pretty sure if it was that dangerous the human race would be extinct.

Happy Thanksgiving Yall.

Yes and also when things like lung cancer and C.O.P.D. were far less common

"Some 150 years ago, it was an extremely rare disease. In 1878, malignant lung tumors represented only 1% of all cancers seen at autopsy in the Institute of Pathology of the University of Dresden in Germany. By 1918, the percentage had risen to almost 10% and by 1927 to more than 14%."
