Illegal alien arrivals now greater than American births?

These requirements seem very reasonable to me.
These requirements would allow Chicago to process 90 buses per week in an orderly manner.
(On the average, Chicago has only been processing 18 bus loads per week.)

I think the officials in Texas delight in providing chaos in the "sanctuary cities" in order to make a point. That isn't being nice to the immigrants.
Hmm. Perhaps Chicago could require arrivals to have some kind of permit before arriving, and call this is a “visa”.

To deal with the problem of illegal arrivals, they could mandate buses full of migrants only arrive at designated locations. They could call them “ports of entry”.

Now, what do you propose be done with rogue buses that arrive where they aren’t supposed to without a permit?
Chicago is asking for a list of the people coming, their final destination, and designating a particular place for drop off. Rogue buses are being fined and impounded.

And the buses are now dropping people off in outlying commuter stations outside of Chicago’s jurisdiction. The Constitutionally of demanding a “list” of travelers is also under challenge.

On Aug. 3, 2023, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit issued a stay of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California’s order in East Bay Sanctuary Covenant v. Biden, 18-cv-06810 (N.D. Cal.), vacating the Circumvention of Lawful Pathways (CLP) rule. At this time and while the stay remains in place, USCIS will continue to apply the CLP rule.

Under the rule, certain individuals who enter the United States through its southwest land border or adjacent coastal borders are presumed to be ineligible for asylum, unless they can demonstrate an exception to the rule or rebut the presumption. Individuals are encouraged to use lawful, safe, and orderly pathways to come to the United States.
(emphasis added)

So no, not everyone who just shows up and wants to claim asylum is entitled to do so under the current rules.
Talked to my daughter, who works with a C&MA refugee program. She confirmed that her organization’s understanding is the same as the one you have conveyed.
That's also what we learned in the orientation for World Relief.

From that link:
If you're thoughtful about it and show some real awareness of history, go ahead and refer to Hitler when you talk about Trump, or any other politician.
In a December 2023 interview with Politico, Godwin stated "there's nothing categorically wrong with Biden's – or anyone else's – comparison of Trump calling people vermin or talking about blood poisoning to Hitler."
Here's a link to the interview with Mike Godwin that this quote was taken from:

So I agree, we can learn a lot about appropriate and inappropriate references to Nazism from Godwin.

I guess he is the law-giver, so he can make the rules or exceptions as he likes.
“Go ahead and refer to Hitler when you talk about Trump.” :)

Or more precisely, "when you talk about calling people vermin or call them an infestation or say they are poisoning our blood". If Biden did the same thing, it would be just as appropriate to say that about Biden. But there's no special rule that says Trump is exempt.
Godwin believes the ubiquity of such comparisons trivializes the Holocaust, which he finds regrettable.
But the Holocaust was a real thing. And we really should learn from it.

Then I don't understand why you are the exception and why you shouldn't go back to Australia. It doesn't matter that your family came here legally -- you're still a foreign element that has taken up resources, because everyone who lives somewhere takes up resources. It doesn't matter if you can buy yourself in, you're still replacing someone who was born here. All you're doing is drawing a line that includes you and excludes others.
Actually, it is quite different. It is a bedrock principle of the American Republic called “Rule of Law.” This republic can function because of the respect the population has for the law, that applies equally to all. Josh’s family appears to have respected that. These illegal migrants have not. One has respect for our founding principles as a nation, the other does not. Those who violate our laws should suffer the consequences, that is being deported, denied the benefits of residency here, and be rounded up and returned to their home countries. Those who respect our laws and system of government are welcome to stay, with our blessings and encouragement.

No country can expend its resources on an unlimited basis to anyone who sneaks in the door. It is not economically or socially feasible.
I think there are two conversations going on in this thread. One conversation is about the challenges of immigration, how to handle illegal immigrants and what kinds of limits should the US impose on immigration rates. That’s a legitimate conversation. I think that’s the conversation you’re trying to have.

However, there’s this from the OP:
It’s happening all over the world, but here in America there has been a strong, concerted push to replace the Americans who are born and raised here with migrants. Now, illegals aliens entering the country have exceeded American births.
Illegal aliens get free medical care, free housing, and so on, whilst hard working Americans basically pay for all of this. Of course this was called a “conspiracy theory” a few years ago, but now it is obviously true and happening. The elites don’t like middle class Americans and want to replace them.
Do you believe JM, that there’s a conspiracy in which elites are replacing Americans with immigrants? Because if what Josh is saying in true, than they rule of law and legal immigration don’t matter. If this conspiracy theory is true, then Josh is part of this replacement regardless of whether his parent were privileged and wealthy enough to buy their way in.

But it’s not true and the “Great Replacement” is xenophobic nonsense. Furthermore, as has been pointed out, the origins of this conspiracy theory are among white supremacist and neo-Nazi groups. At the “Unite the Right” protests in Charlottesville in 2017, neo-Nazis bearing tiki torches chanted “Jews will not replace us.” That’s an example of the Great Replacement theory and I don’t think the same thing as the concerns you’re bringing up.

I also don’t think we can ignore the origins of the conspiracy theory that Josh is arguing for and his use of dehumanizing language. I think we do need to call it out.

In other words, Chicago is trying to have a border and implement border and migration controls.

It is rather obvious what happens next: the buses simply stop outside city limits at an L station and hand each passenger a Ventra card and instructions on how to get into the city. (Note that this is already happening.) States and cities have zero authority to limit the voluntary movement of people (illegal aliens, citizens, and otherwise).

What on earth does the Holocaust have to do with this topic? This is about illegal immigration, not rounding up citizens and sending them to concentration camps.
