The Right of the Jewish People to the Land of Israel (Eretz Israel)
a. The right of the Jewish people to the land of Israel is eternal and indisputable and is linked with the right to security and peace; therefore, Judea and Samaria will not be handed to any foreign administration; between the Sea and the Jordan there will only be Israeli sovereignty.
b. A plan which relinquishes parts of western Eretz Israel, undermines our right to the country, unavoidably leads to the establishment of a "Palestinian State," jeopardizes the security of the Jewish population, endangers the existence of the State of Israel. and frustrates any prospect of peace.
Settlement
Settlement. both urban and rural. in all parts of the Land of Israel is the focal point of the Zionist effort to redeem the country, to maintain vital security areas and serves as a reservoir of strength and inspiration for the renewal of the pioneering spirit. The Likud government will call on the younger generation in Israel and the dispersions to settle and help every group and individual in the task of inhabiting and cultivating the wasteland, while taking care not to dispossess anyone.
Pro-Palestinian demonstrators do sometimes chant “from the river to the sea”, but the origin is this Likud statement, with protestors doing a sort of “taking it back”.
I should note that many Israeli political parties endorsed a two state solution. We were very close to having one under Yitzakh Rabin with the Oslo accords.
As late as 1999, Likud's platform was still this blunt:
The Jewish communities in Judea, Samaria, and Gaza are the realization of Zionist values. Settlement of the land is a clear expression of the unassailable right of the Jewish people to the Land of Israel and constitutes an important asset in the defense of the vital interests of the State of Israel. The Likud will continue to strengthen and develop these communities and will prevent their uprooting.
So settlements are intended to take over Palestinian land.
And it also said this - no country for Palestine, no independence, no real self-rule:
The Government of Israel flatly rejects the establishment of a Palestinian Arab state west of the Jordan river. The Palestinians can run their lives freely in the framework of self-rule, but not as an independent and sovereign state. Thus, for example, in matters of foreign affairs, security, immigration, and ecology, their activity shall be limited in accordance with imperatives of Israel's existence, security and national needs.
Indeed, they were given the opportunity to have a their own country and rejected it because well you know: “…from the River to the Sea…” and all that jazz.
BOTH Israel and the Palestinians are claiming "from the river to the sea" but neither of them wants to accommodate the other's legitimate claims to the land, both as a people, and in terms of individual property rights.
Can you show me where they make that claim? Israel that is.
In addition to what others here have said, the Biblical "promised land" that many religious Jews (settlers) and many Christians believe that God gave to Israel is literally defined as between the river and the sea in both Numbers and Exekiel. It is the de-facto policy of Likud. Perhaps not Gaza which they have given up on, but definitely the West Bank which is the gray shaded area in the map below.

Ben-Gvir, who was convicted in 2007 of racist incitement against Arabs and backing a group considered by Israel and the United States to be a terrorist organization, will have an expanded security portfolio that will include responsibility for Border Police in the occupied West Bank.
Do you know what "From the River to the Sea" actually means? You're old enough to remember when Israel tried to actually implement a 2 State solution and the PLO rejected it. right?

Question: is what we know as Gaza part of what God gave to the Israelites?

I think you got that reversed:
Originally a political slogan, it has been in use by Palestinian political groups since the 1960s as a call for Palestinian liberation. By 1969, according to Professor Robin Kelley of the University of California, Los Angeles, the phrase "Free Palestine from the river to the sea"
Likud wasn't founded until 1973:
A similar slogan was used in the 1977 charter of the Israeli political party Likud, which stated that "between the Sea and the Jordan there will only be Israeli sovereignty".[4] Some commentators have referred to Israeli occupation as a policy of Israeli control and oppression of Palestinians "from the river to the sea."

Gaza is not remotely its own nation. Palestine would like to be a nation. Israel won't let it. Palestine would like live on the land that the United Nations says is legally theirs. Land where Israel is building settlements. In the eyes of most humanitarian and aid groups, Israel has occupied Palestine since 1967. And that makes them responsible. Egypt does not occupy Palestine. I think that's why Israel gets more criticism.
Israel is BLOCKING aid form Gaza. Nobody is asking Israel to "funnel" aid to Gaza, they are asking Israel to allow aid to civilians. If Israel decides, single-handedly, that civilians in Gaza should not be allowed to have food, water, shelter, and medical aid, even if other people want to provide it, then Israel is responsible for doing that.
This is false.
Palestinians were offered a 2 state solution by Israel and they rejected it, choosing instead to elect Hamas which is committed to the eradication of Jews in the Levant. Israel does not occupy Gaza and has not since the pullout in 2006. Egypt blocks Gazans' entrance into their country because they're afraid of Hamas as well.
Israel has given aid to Gaza prior to October 7th but is currently blocking aid because, well you know, that whole massacre thing. If Hamas cared about it's people in any way it would have spent the billions in aid it received annually to build the infrastructure necessary to not have to rely on Israel, the state it claims to abhor, for vital resources. To blame Israel then for cutting off the gas and internet to the people that just massacred innocent families is unserious argle bargle and beggars belief.
