Again, you are inserting your political opinion.
yes. as well, his link states it’s an opinion piece. opinions+emphatic opinions.

Falco Underhill wrote: ↑Sun Oct 09, 2022 10:32 pm Not necessarily. Some of these things may have been allowed to happen to give the Deception some credibility.

I don't think it's been proven wrong. I think this explains "The Red Thread" many of us constantly suspect in our politics. (People in our government secretly sympathetic to it pushing our policies in those directions.)

Diane West wrote a book called "The Red Thread." I find her very insightful on all this and have been listening to her for years. I also support her on Patreon.

She's been warning about not being taken in by Russia's supposed reconversion to Orthodoxy and not trusting Putin but I really couldn't quite grasp it. Again, I found it so difficult to understand how someone who so intelligently argues for Christian values and the failures of socialism as he does could really be that insincere and playing some kind of game. I'm still kind of awed by his abilities to argue against liberals in the media I'm often opposed to. He's really very good at it!

Anyway, Diane West's website can be found here if anyone's interested:

The West's main weakness remains unchanged: it cannot grasp the fact that it is facing an unfolding of Soviet convergence strategy which is intended to procure the subservience of the west to Moscow under an ultimate Communist World Government.

I'm also finding this video interesting as an explanation for what's going on in Ukraine right now. According to this theory it may involve something called the Mackinder Island. (Never heard of this before.)

 Still trying to understand all this.

Nothing to be hesitant about.
Esp when we know we’re trying to understand proven liars locked in power struggles. No innocents.

The 2 videos below describe corruption in Ukraine, specifically about (piracy) of U.S. Aid. It’s dismal.
i’m remembering Honduras Keiser’s description of what happens to U.S. Aid in Honduras. It’s dismal.

Alert: some coarse language. (i send complaints to the site.)

1 month ago / “Zelensky regime CAUGHT doing the UNTHINKABLE to NATO aid in Ukraine” | Redacted with Clayton Morris / -15min

Description:
Ukrainian officials stand accused of stealing millions worth of aid that has been sent to Ukraine for the war.
The allegation comes from the country's anti corruption agency.
This as the West continues to send money, aid and weapons.
3 months ago /“They are hiding this from you in Ukraine” | Redacted with Clayton Morris / 1hr 20min

Description:
The Biden administration just admitted they're going to send billions of new funding to Ukraine each week on auto-pay.

Mexico's president slams Biden over the war.

The WHO is hiding the truth about Wuhan and Covid-19.

The U.S. goes into deeper debt with CHINA, to “aid” Ukraine.
The world, domestic+foreign, is after the U.S. Public Treasury, knowing it’s “limitless,” with a big credit card (China) to keep the money flowing. In the TRILLIONS, i don’t believe there’s the faintest possibility of accountability. “Anything goes.”

Does mennonet.com phpBB have a mirror tag? :D
I'm curious how some of you are able to rail against 'liberal' media manipulation without seeing how you participate in what looks like the same thing..., Based on the video links, many of them coming from Google/Youtube! it sure looks like some of you are far down some google/youtube algorithm rabbit hole... which by now are pretty universally known to be manipulative and driven by what it knows you engage with and what you like, and in some ways knows what you WANT to believe... And the platforms/algorithms serve this kind of stuff to BOTH sides/extremes of the spectrum! It cares not a whit what 'tribe' you're part of; it serves you what keeps you coming back for more...

Here, some wisdom in this matter, from a real conservative: youtube-extremism-and-the-long-tail

i believe this is an overall fair question, and an important question, if the purpose is balanced, and not to simply dismiss those you don’t like, anyway.

(i don’t know what a mirror tag is, probably Robert does.)

i refer to google, i don’t accept what is found there as unbiased.
in recent months, i’ve been watching quite a lot on Youtube, i don’t accept what is found there as unbiased.

i enjoy reading/listening to black conservatives, this leads to all sorts of content. the majority i ignore.
some i’d like to learn more about.

speaking for myself, when i add (anything) to topics here, it’s in the spirit of questioning .. because, i don’t know.
i believe others here do likewise. questions are raised.

oddly, those who are at ease with google, the NYT, etc., interpret this as unquestioned alliance with whatever is presented.
(evidently, because when they quote mainstream sources, that’s their stance.) i don’t or rarely reference the NYT or other - because, that’s not news! it’s the standard no one can escape! repeating it is redundant. at most, a starting point, not the end of anything.

it’s not actually news when 10-12+ sources all recite the same story, often down to the syllable. it’s distributing a narrative.
a script. this is done with dramatic camera-ready straight faces.

i haven’t read your link. i might. The Atlantic is .. not a source i would pursue. NYT Light?

Josh is repeatedly accused of loving/choosing Putin, simply because he questions motivations of the U.S., the Left-West, Zelensky.
i have seen no such preference in what he writes. none at all. yet, almost daily, he is accused. (he’s a big boy, he speaks for himself.) as an observer, i wonder how many times he needs to repeat (regarding Putin).

i believe it’s beyond doubt, the mainstream is committed to Just War theory, and U.S. history indicates U.S. mentality pretty much demands it.

Americans LOVE the idea that throwing big money at problems solves everything! they can pat themselves on one another’s backs, with assurance “all will be well.” i’m not sure if this lie will ever die, no matter how much evidence to the contrary.

i’ve lived my life with the concept of “wonderful” U.S. Foreign Aid. i agree, i LIKE the idea.
i can’t ignore reports of incompetence and dedicated corruption.

Honduras Keiser described what he sees in Honduras. His personal, credible observations. Not surprising! - Credible observations of what goes on - on all continents?? [His suggestion? End it.] :( i can probably locate his post if you like.

hope that helps.

- - - - - - -

i glanced at your above link. Trump rallies, really??
i’ve not viewed 1, nor do i plan to. Never Trump isn’t about to end, is it? Even with Putin, China, Saudi Arabia .. etc.
“Always room for JELLO!”

Ken wrote: ↑Sun Oct 09, 2022 7:16 pm Which representatives for NATO are saying this? Can you cite any?
Stoltenburg said this in his live address a week or two ago. He said NATO would not accept anything except Russia's unconditional surrender.
I have searched Stoltenburg's live addresses - there are transcripts - and I cannot find anything like that in the address he gave then. You can find a transcript here:

https://www.nato.int/cps/en/natohq/opinions_207788.htm

In fact, he emphasizes the defensive nature of NATO:
Stoltenburg wrote:Ours is a defensive Alliance.
We stand united and determined
to defend and protect every NATO Ally.
And every inch of Allied territory.
And in that framework, he says the following are NATO's objectives:
Stoltenburg wrote:Putin bears full responsibility for this war.
And it is his responsibility to end it.
To end the immense suffering of the brave Ukrainian people.
To end the energy and food crisis that is affecting so many around the world.

If Russia stops fighting, there will be peace.
If Ukraine stops fighting, it will cease to exist as an independent sovereign nation in Europe.

NATO reaffirms our unwavering support for Ukraine’s independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity.

We remain resolute in providing support to Ukraine as it continues to defend itself against Russia’s aggression.

For as long as it takes.

Falco Underhill wrote: ↑Sun Oct 09, 2022 5:10 pm I was referring to the fact that speakers for NATO currently say no peaceful resolution with Putin will be possible and only Putin out of power and new government institutions installed after Putin's gone will be acceptable to NATO as a resolution to this conflict.
I don't think that is NATO's position. If it is, could you please show me where NATO has taken that position? Something real, such as a statement from Stoltenburg?

To me, the whole idea of NATO invading Russia is preposterous. I doubt very much that we will ever see that.
Falco Underhill wrote: ↑Sun Oct 09, 2022 8:02 pm So, there really are genuine control issues over who controls Ukraine between the two powers.
Shouldn't Ukraine control Ukraine? The United States did not invade Ukraine. Neither did any NATO member.

Russia really does bear responsibility for what Russia is doing to Ukraine. Including all of the atrocities against civilians. Ukraine is not doing that to Russia or to Russian civilians. Neither is the United States or NATO.

In the second Redacted video above (lengthy, i know) - they describe plans for Ukraine to become a forever war,
also, part is dedicated to Rand Paul and his interest in fiscal accountability (i admit, it seems like a lost cause now, i.e., in this admin).

They cover a lot of ground.

Once billions are dedicated to war, let’s not be naive that billions will quickly be withdrawn, no matter who decides what.
Many factors are involved, including much that is unsavory.

This topic has offered various references to NATO aggression. Almost 200 pages.
Searching Mearsheimer in this topic should get there. It requires listening or reading more than a quick clip.

Videos. Stories. Conspiracy theories. No, you do not know what "they" are planning when you see a video like that on the Internet. But you do know what "they" had in mind when they actually invade another country, we saw Russia do that in Ukraine.

And they all seem to say that Putin is not really responsible for his military aggression or for the atrocities his forces are committing against civilians. Who do you think is making these videos? Why?

You ask for facts, you ignore what you don’t like. Lots of folks like that.

John J. Mearsheimer, in full John Joseph Mearsheimer, (born December 14, 1947, New York, New York, U.S.), prominent American scholar of international relations best known for his theory of offensive realism.

Yes, facts are what I ask for.

Here's the definition:
a thing that is known or proved to be true.
Not unprovable claims in emotional, partisan videos that justify Putin's military aggression.
