I see you have a picture of my kitchen for reference. This is literally the situation of my stove and range hood, though in black and white in our case. Unfortunately, there is no simple solution in our setup other than tearing out the cabinets and putting in new, since there is no way to orientate the present units to align properly. At our age, we have decided to live with it as did the people who built this house in the first place...It's been this way since 1984. (I wonder if that date has any significance?)

This house was built in 1525 for one of the wealthiest families in Europe. I'm not sure if the misalignment is original, but it does appear to go back a ways.
