Questions about the role that the now all-powerful, monied, intolerant homosexual BLOC/LOBBY inserts itself into every corner of everyone’s daily life, within all of the U.S., exported outward, demanding central position, accepting nothing less.

The bloc is neither human nor humane.
It’s a human construct, created for the purpose of acquiring unprecented legal power and access to the U.S. Public Treasury.
With this unprecedented power, corporations, the DOE, “everything” is commandeered to align with - not equality, but, “specialness,” “favor.” The bloc has successfully created “super-citizen” status.

This has nothing to do with individual sinners who are protected as others are under laws intended for all.
For whom not one member on this forum is an adversary. No matter sweeping, empty accusations.

For myself, i’ve repeated for (10 years?) - i’m against organized political blocs/lobbies/cults whose focused purpose is political power, special status and protection under human law, and, access to the public treasury.
This was not a U.S. founding dream, nor is it anything of Jesus Christ.

The fact this thing has grown to the point it’s now a driving force in world politics should be “openly” recognized for what it is,
not ignored and normalized as tho it did not exist, that it’s a non-issue - that it’s “just societal common sense,” or, worst of all, that God is honored.

The bloc is part of the problem for Ukraine. A big problem. Just as it is - everywhere it goes. No exceptions.

nett’s question is not out of line for this topic. the forum’s Home Page states: (mods decide)
Current Events
Things that are not part of politics happening presently and how we approach or address it as Anabaptists.
Proponents are ace at denial, attempting to minimize, discredit those not aligned. Propaganda, and worse, is employed.
With no moral compass to impede, there is no bottom to their pit.

The problems are many. God is greater-than.

Continual prayers for children, teens, young people, the primary targets for evil.

The vulgar dancing photos of Zelensky indicate he is involved with the Left-West’s preoccupation.
No indication of how embedded he is. i wonder if he has regrets?

It appears the Left-West is not interested in talks/resolution. Typically, they seek to own, not compromise.
While a neutral Ukraine intrigues me, it’s unlikely that would be anything close to what the Left-West would accept.

To be fair, the Russians are pretty lazy and confused about it too. ..

No matter.
The U.S. can only be accountable for its choices, combined with general opinions of how much “better-than” the U.S. is
“supposed to be” as related to others - esp Russia!! U.S. dedication to intellectual laziness cannot be blamed on others.
Esp not Russia, which is viewed with utmost scorn.

IF Russia had the “good sense” to embrace homosexuals and abortion corporations, we can expect 180 in public perception, via Left-West politicians and media.

Yes, i believe all indications over years indicate this is true. They are (the bloc is) that self-centered and petty.
Abundant legal cases paint the picture. Domination is that important - to THEM.

To reitterate, i do not conflate the organized political bloc with individual souls. 2 very different matters.
deliberately conflated - for exploitation by the bloc/cult. this is the central travesty.

Regarding staggering loss of innocent human life:

“An estimated 62 million abortions have occurred since Roe v. Wade decision in 1973”
From 1975-2012, the nation saw more than one million abortions each year
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/aborti ... roe-v-wade

i won’t deliberate, this topic has been discussed in depth on this forum. there are loads of statistics.
all about efficient+gruesome deliberate premeditated for-profit extermination of human life.

just a reminder ..

Seriously Josh?

Not everything in the world is about gay rights. In fact very little in the word and especially international affairs is about gay rights. Most certainly not US-Chinese relations.

You do realize that most of the rest of the world has left you behind on this subject? Even the Chinese are about as supportive of LGBT rights and gay marriage as Americans, and support it by very wide margins. The latest international polling on the subject found that 13% of Americans object to gay marriage or civil unions while in China the percentage is a very similar 19%. It is only Russia that is outlier on this subject. I guess that is why you such a Russia apologist here?

Here is the most recent international polling which shows that the Chinese are much closer to the west than they are to Russia on this subect: https://www.ipsos.com/en/lgbt-pride-202 ... attraction
Ken, Do you believe homosexuality is an abomination before God, or do you think it's pretty much ok with Him?
What I am surprised by is how much you and Josh are invested in denying civil rights to a portion of the population, both in the US and abroad. It seems to be your overriding domestic and foreign policy issue. Far exceeding pretty much every other Biblical commandment, most of which are far more explicit. I don't see you advocating for putting Matthew 19:24 into legislation, for example.

I'm not gay but I'm also not interested in legislating how anyone else lives their life and I expect the same courtesy in return. From gay people, from conservative Christians, from conservative Muslims, or anyone else.

Show me any New Testament text which suggests that Jesus advocated that ANY of his teachings should be legislated into secular law. Or that it should be the mission of Christians to do so. Did Jesus or Paul go to Rome to lobby the Roman Senate to legislate Christian teachings into Roman law?

This is a thread about the invasion of one sovereign nation by another. Why you guys think everything in the world is about gay marriage is beyond me.
By that reasoning I suppose in order to be consistent you would also oppose legislation against things like hating people, lying (in court or otherwise), stealing or murdering. After all, Jesus never pushed to have this incorporated into Roman law. Why would you want to control how anyone else lives their life?

I’m not on Putin’s side in this conflict; the point I’m making is I’m not on the Western side either, whose main goal seems to be to spread “democracy” which means requiring governments to allow gay marriage, whether or not the actual people want it.

That is the core at these colour revolutions.

There are many laws necessary for the functioning of organized society. Every society, Christian or otherwise has them. Everything from prohibitions on murder, theft, perjury, etc. to zoning laws. They are secular laws that serve a secular purpose. And then there are separate laws simply intended to legislate a particular religious belief on everyone. Laws against blasphemy in the Muslim world, for example. Or that prohibit conversions away from Islam on penalty of death.

I have no problem with secular laws that serve a secular purpose. That is what government is for. If you want to make an argument for laws that discriminate against gays or LGBT people then fine. But do so on secular grounds, not as Josh states "it is an abomination before God" There are hundreds of things that are listed as abominations before God in the Old Testament. Including things like shellfish and mixed fabrics. We don't legislate most of them unless they also serve some secular purpose.

This goes to Kingdom theology and separate spheres for the secular and religious. It goes both ways. Faith and religion is tainted when the government seeks to intervene in matters of faith, establish an official state religion and so forth. That is why we had the Reformation and rise of Anabaptism. And the secular government is equally tainted when a specific faith seeks to legislate morality on religious rather than secular grounds. As we have in Saudi Arabia and Iran today, and we had during the Spanish Inquisition.

The Reformation was mostly about Henry the VIII wanting to keep marrying more wives, not about “separation of church and state”.

As I keep pointing out, America at its founding had state churches. Just not a federal church over all 13 states.

Yes Josh, gay marriage is the reason why Ukrainians rose up and tossed out their corrupt leaders in 2004.

Right Josh. Martin Luther, John Calvin, Huldrych Zwingli, and Menno Simons were just carrying water for Henry the VIII.
