I'm fortunate that because I work for a school, we have a regular supply of test kits. I usually get tested about once a week. Yesterday, we tested the entire junior class because one of them had tested positive. The day before, the juniors had a class meeting and all of them were in a room with that student for an extended period. Fortunately, we didn't have any positive cases. We also had to test the entire basketball team because one of the students tested positive.Robert wrote: ↑Wed Jan 12, 2022 9:45 amEveryone is out of the self test kits around here because of the wave hitting us. It could be a flu bug, but symptoms very similar to Covid. My youngest boy has been sick for 5 days and coughing all over me since my wife got it too and left me a caregiver to a bunch of sickos.Szdfan wrote: ↑Wed Jan 12, 2022 7:59 amHave you been tested? Do you know that you have Covid?Valerie wrote: ↑Wed Jan 12, 2022 7:22 am Last week I thought I might be getting covid because I was directly exposed to my vaccinated manager who had a terrible case of covid. I had started taking these supplements, and my symptoms only lasted a few hours even though my manager said I still needed the quarantine. There are supplements that directly fight covid specifically.
Two days ago, I got the slight fever, head congestion and heavy chest congestion. I had to evict a tenant, repair a door, fix a water line, repair a toilet seal and tend to the sickos. Yesterday, I had to drive all the way into the next town where my oldest boy was doing some training. He lost the car keys. When I got there, he reached into his jacket pocket and found them. "How did they get there?" I said don't loose them again and drove back home.
Yea, everyone else gets to sit in bed and be nursed back to health. My wife always gets every virus that goes around, so is usually sick the few times I get something. One day, I hope to get sick, everyone tend to me and I get to lay around.
I suspect this is Covid because virus, the few times they hit me, are 4-24 hours then over. This has been 2 days. It is bad stuff if it can keep me sick for 2 days.
Coughing seems better this morning. Now I have to call the title company in Texas to see if we can sort out things on the house we put a bid in or start all over with a new property. Oh, sorry. Not Covid related. Ignore that last line.![]()
I think one of the difficult or aggravating things about Covid is that people have different symptoms. I had Covid a year ago and it knocked me out. It took me about a month and a half to recover -- shortness of breath, exhaustion, etc. I think one of the hopeful things about omicron is that while it is more contagious, it is less severe, but there are still too many people ending up in the hospital. My wife lost a cousin last week from Covid. From my reading, the pandemic has not become endemic yet, but hopefully, we are on the way.
As a side note, Robert, blessings to you as take care of everyone and get ready to move. My wife and I purchased a small 17 acre farm at the end of October and it was an exhausting process that took months to purchase and to move.
