In the USA, there are hundreds of options for gathering with believers in-between the two extremes of "going back to normal" vs. "staying at home or wearing hazmat suits".
Is there a reason not to “go back to normal”, particularly where it is allowed?

Back to the topic of Canada, in between options aren’t allowed either. For example, holding a Bible study in your basement is illegal.

Or having drinks with your friends. It's not intellectually honest to say that Christianity is being targeted at this point. Having said that, I think re-opening is long overdue.

A person can still drink with friends not social distancing at the same table together at an outside bar/restaurant area with masks off. Outside a church building we have to social distance, masks have to be on with no interactions(we are not allowed to talk to one another)nor are we permitted to sing as a congregation.

i think there is honesty in asking questions. Josh pointed out that churches are not “just 501c organizations,” and somewhere, you mentioned churches were the original protected class in the U.S. (there are valid questions from all perspectives.)

i follow guidelines. like many, i wonder .. :?

regarding Ebola. it was not treated anything like this pandemic. (i thought too lightly.)

i believe in quick responses, identify and quarantine asap. isolate pathogens. cruise ships are contemporary examples.
if this had been done immediately in China, the world may not be in this current protracted mess.

pathogens and political correctness, lying, covering up, do not mix well.

What would the BC law say if 4+ people from different households went to a restaurant and broke bread and read the Bible, prayed and sang? Some diners have a private-ish dining area that they offer.

It would place that company in a position of being liable for a fine if they let it happen - I don't want to place others in a tight position. And at a business it would be a larger fine and larger ramifications as compared to if people did the same thing still illegally at a private residence.

Yet strangely enough that is permitted. Bars, strop clubs, and casinos remain open. What is curtailed is church.

That would be an incorrect statement. Casinos are not permitted to be open. Bars and night clubs may only be open as drive-thru or take-out. Not sure where you have been getting your information from. Also, I can't so much as buy coffee at a take-out place and offer it to you and wade at the same time. Only my household and one person from another household that lives alone may "gather" regardless of purpose or religion.
