Is there a reason not to “go back to normal”, particularly where it is allowed?
Back to the topic of Canada, in between options aren’t allowed either. For example, holding a Bible study in your basement is illegal.

Or having drinks with your friends. It's not intellectually honest to say that Christianity is being targeted at this point. Having said that, I think re-opening is long overdue.
A person can still drink with friends not social distancing at the same table together at an outside bar/restaurant area with masks off. Outside a church building we have to social distance, masks have to be on with no interactions(we are not allowed to talk to one another)nor are we permitted to sing as a congregation.
What would the BC law say if 4+ people from different households went to a restaurant and broke bread and read the Bible, prayed and sang? Some diners have a private-ish dining area that they offer.Wade wrote: ↑Wed May 12, 2021 1:14 pmA person can still drink with friends not social distancing at the same table together at an outside bar/restaurant area with masks off. It would place that company in a position of being liable for a fine if they let it happen - I don't want to place others in a tight position. And at a business it would be a larger fine and larger ramifications as compared to if people did the same thing still illegally at a private residence.RZehr wrote: ↑Wed May 12, 2021 1:24 pmWhat would the BC law say if 4+ people from different households went to a restaurant and broke bread and read the Bible, prayed and sang? Yet strangely enough that is permitted. Bars, strop clubs, and casinos remain open. What is curtailed is church.
That would be an incorrect statement. Casinos are not permitted to be open. Bars and night clubs may only be open as drive-thru or take-out. Not sure where you have been getting your information from. Also, I can't so much as buy coffee at a take-out place and offer it to you and wade at the same time. Only my household and one person from another household that lives alone may "gather" regardless of purpose or religion.
