Where I'm from the government seems to recognize the truth of what the Scriptures say about the dangers of accumulating wealth. The government is very helpfully relieving the citizenry of their excess wealth.

And even some that's not excess, for good measure.ken_sylvania wrote: ↑Sat Jun 13, 2026 10:15 pm Where I'm from the government seems to recognize the truth of what the Scriptures say about the dangers of accumulating wealth. It looks like some of his company’s cafeteria workers who bought stocks at the beginning or on employee discount became millionaires. Imagine that.

Yes, all employees got options and an opportunity to buy them. That is how it was structured from the beginning.
It is interesting to hear all the people who claim that Elon Musk is unsuccessful, a loser, broke, deeply in debt, his businesses are failing, Twitter was a very bad buy / poor choice of money, etc.
All I can say is... sure wish I had businesses that were failing that way.

My mother often recited,”It takes all kinds to make the world go ‘round”. Everyone God created.

i’m perfectly comfortable with an older, wiser, more docile Trump.

Elon’s at it again? Maybe?
How can courts ignore:
1) TRUTH IN ADVERTISING
(Opinion, speculation, entertainment are NOT news.)
2) ANTITRUST LAWS
DrSteveTurly / You Won’t BELIEVE Who’s About to BUY CNN!!! / 18+min
CharlesForte2.0 / The Big PAYBACK is COMING! / 18+min
^^They’re excited, but, from what they describe, it wouldn’t be near as comprehensive as the Twitter purchase?!
(i would be interested in Twitter-X level impact.)
i’m not Trump-centric on this.
The problems have gone ‘way back in U.S. history, lots of presidents have complained.
Regardless of screaming pundit protests, i think most want BALANCE in reporting.
News that’s not balanced is propaganda.
Education that’s not balanced is indocrination.
Interesting how the internet MIGHT bring some improvement to msm.
i suppose Job #1 would be to defne “What is news?”
Then restrict the “news” industry from willy-nilly labeling EVERYTHING they spew as news. Raise the Bar.
It would require them to put more effort into their “products”, and their “products” might not be as exciting.
They could still produce their garbage. Just without the label, “news”. Give the word meaning.
Maybe news would return to being aired in 15 min blocks 3 times daily?
The rest of the time they could do their blah-blah, hate, etc?
i wish Elon the best if there’s anything to this.

Job 1 defines news as overwhelmingly bad news. It may be where the saying "no news is good news" originated.
