Church of God Restoration

Is there any evidence in the NT, that NT Christians purposefully put themselves in situations where they could protest their freedoms being taken away?
Other then refusing to stop meeting for fellowship?
No, I am talking about going somewhere very visible to protest the governments regulations. (not for fellowship but to sing a Christian song and make a name for yourself)
I was being mostly rhetorical. I agree with you. When some of FotW went to the BLM protests, I saw that as a problem. When Christians went to the rally or whatever it was at DC, I saw it as a problem. When Christians went to the truck protest, I also saw that as a problem. If any of those groups were to assemble in front of my house, I would offer them food and show that I cared for them as people, but to actively go to their rally/protest/whatever it is usually ends up implying allegiance to their cause.

At the same time, I still think its wrong to endorse a vaccine produced by unethical means, and I have yet to see anything from Plain News addressing why some people actually care and presenting any facts. Even just a reprint of Dr Miggiani's articles written in the Heartbeat of the Remnant would go a long way towards showing that there is a Christian camp with a reason to object to this, while Plain News can still choose to stay neutral on it. This is why some other people have chosen to withdraw support from your news, and it honestly is something I have considered doing. Your articles have a slant that is coming through and perhaps your point is to object to the Christian's association with the Right, which is good and just to point out, but not by swinging to the Left instead. I have seen several articles that imply that no God fearing Christian would actually take a stand against this and those that do only do so because of the Right. While that may be the case for a lot of people, there are those who have a nonpolitically motivated reason to object.

'No' - my answer to your question. I think this is a disgrace to associate the song 'Amazing Grace' with freedoms in this world. This song is all about being set free from the bondage of sin not some governments attempt to restrain some earthly freedom. Sad, to see Christianity mixing up freedoms in this temporal life with freedom from sin that is of eternal significance. This is being 'in the world' and also being 'of the world'. We are not in a fight for earthly freedoms created by flesh and blood but our battle is a spiritual battle with an eternal perspective.

Perhaps some of these Christians need a refresher course in what being an ambassador means. This world is not our home. We are to be 'strangers' and 'aliens' and representing another country as it were. All of these temporary diversions on environmental, political, earthly rights and being sucked in by current events to take sides is making a mockery of what Jesus is about. There certainly is a need for heart changed Christianity from professing only Christianity.

I don't doubt others see it differently so I need to add 'YMMV' even though you are wrong. Well, it really isn't a laughing matter is it ?

Most of them had no legal or cultural standing to mount such a protest. Paul did, and was quite forward about asserting his rights as a Roman citizen. He eventually engaged in the theatrics of "appealing to Caesar".
