Seems like the country is divided as to what is quackery and what isnt.
I've known just as many people or more who say that mainstream medicine is quackery.
Of course we don't really know how effective plant based medicines are compared to the man made chemicals they want to feed us when we are ill.
If you think about it, big pharma. has a vested interest in lieing. And they pay enough in advertising so that the mainstream media is certainly not going to bite the hand that feeds them.
It's going to be next to impossible to get an unbiased assessment of what is and isn't effective in treating illnesses when there are corporate lobbyists twisting arms and lining pockets to make sure the status quo is maintained in their favor. It will always be a battle against the competition. And unfortunately the ones with the most money always seem to win in this ungodly world we live in.
And because the mega-corporations who sell "natural" or "herbal" supplements have no vested interest in lying to the customers who they are selling this stuff to, right?
But yes, when we are constantly bombarded by information, and when that information is contradictory and we don't feel like we can really trust any of the purveyors of said information, it is very tempting to conclude that it doesn't matter what we believe and just accept whatever "feels" right or is easiest to accept. However, I don't believe that is the approach God would have us to take. I think God still wants us to make an effort to know the truth.

footnote: I read or heard recently that the gov this year, driven and financed by the drug lords, (makers) , is seeking to outlaw 300 more herbs/ supplements that have been used successfully against every virus and every bacteria and almost every disease.
There aer STILL AVAILABLE hundreds or thousands of old published books on both ancient and recent PROVEN remedies.
One interesting one, for some people, is title something like 'Amazing drugs the companies do not want people to know about'...
and about chapter 18, give or take 18,
something used that as much as 50 percent of the time makes high pressure, stopped up plumbing (in intestines), and
lung troubles , disappear in individuals who did not even expect these changes ! (they took the di-hyrdogen oxide for other reasons, usually a suggested dietary change, bringing their own consumption more in line with what was more common decades ago before profit making companies started prmotin disease so much ) ....
i.e. unexpectedly, for them, within a couple weeks to eight weeks or so, their problem was resolved (and verified by their health licensed observer/practitioner (dr) ) ....
Likewise with dozens of other natural items..... all 'blacklisted' by the druglords (makers) ....

I admit I’ve been working on boosting my intake of the pharmakeia practice of drinking [s]water[/s] dihydrogen oxide, after advice from a [s]doctor[/s] CNP.

So what is "phrmk"? I recently cut some roots which resulted in my meal having fresh ginger; is this ok?Aaron wrote:oops... wrong source.Josh wrote:I admit I’ve been working on boosting my intake of the pharmakeia practice of drinking [s]water[/s] dihydrogen oxide, after advice from a [s]doctor[/s] CNP.
