Like any other culture, standards can be a fluid thing, forever changing. And I've seen that here on MN. Maybe not for the best, or not for the worst, but changing.Josh wrote:MennoNet has community standards; it’s just that people like Ken haven’t been able to control what they are yet.
Should MennoNet remove posts the Mods disagree with?

I assumed this thread got started due to various internet platforms taking down the press conference of doctors that recommended certain drugs for covid. Am I correct?Robert wrote:You know, this was tongue in cheek and everyone got all serious. Laugh a little people.

I thought about disagreeing, but then pawsed to consider that given a sufficient volume there's bound to be one every now and then that's weak.AnthonyMartin wrote:Perhaps another option could be to remove OJ if he fails to mantain the PAW metric (Pun a Week)Robert wrote:You know, this was tongue in cheek and everyone got all serious. Robert was ranting about that the other day and it seems that is what gave him the idea.Ernie wrote:I assumed this thread got started due to various internet platforms taking down the press conference of doctors that recommended certain drugs for covid. I rant about so many things. How can you single out one.ken_sylvania wrote: Robert was ranting about that the other day and it seems that is what gave him the idea.
Mostly it was because of the censorship of big tech going on right now. Not just the doctors, but a good bit of censorship that I think is unbalanced. Also, because I was being silly and working to lighten up myself. I can go down some rabbit holes ... strawman humor!!
It is going to get real messy soon. The politics of the election is spilling over, even here.
WE all need to laugh and connect outside of the polarization of the cultures. Speaking for the US, Canada is a lost cause, we survived Nixon, Clinton, Obama, and we will survive Trump.
In a year from now, we will all be ranting about something different. Covid will be old news and pink aliens will be the new news. In all that, God will still reign. Really not much need to fight. Jesus has already won the victory.

Try hard not to offend. Try harder not to be offended.
I think I am funnier than I really am.

News this year might be old news in three months...... especially if the expected plagues, famines, and maybe wars start.
Or even just if the "new" laws are put into effect, over almost everyone on earth ? (i.e. as written in Revelation= the Apocalypse= the Revelation to John the Apostle or or thru Jesus Christ) .....
The laws likely will not get "better" - only worse, as they have for over a century now, in theusa, world, everywhere?,
including fairly well publicized yet little known pharmakeia laws already put in place decades ago... (codex?) ....
There ARE instructions in SCRIPTURE about what kind of speech / (posts) / is not proper amongst believers at all. Other secular and fake christian forums allow garbage ad infinitum... and it destroys the faith each day of little ones who visit , and likely some older ones also - increasing their fear, doubts, destroying their hope for a true security in Christ Jesus, as they see the deception increase always and allowed/ permitted to go on and on and on, even after being exposed.
