I would hesitate to say that people who are holy and set apart to God always wear their hair up.Aaron wrote:(In short, an answer to a question, or part of the answer, asked by Joy a little while ago (I honestly thought was common knowledge among the set apart (holy, set apart to God) Jews and Anabaptists ) )lesterb wrote: .........

Simply say what Scripture says.
(how many daily full of joy, peace, and righteousness, how many blameless, holy, Ekklesia of any location/group, have you ever known ?

Re: ESV Translation on 1 Corinthians 11
I don’t know any blameless, but I do go to an ekklesia whose members are sinners but saved by grace, and who often experience joy, peace, and righteousness. May we all be found blameless in the end, and may we grieve For and intercede on behalf of those brothers and sisters who have lost their way.Aaron wrote:Simply say what Scripture says.

The scripture doesn't say Jews and Anabaptists are the ones set apart to God.Aaron wrote:Simply say what Scripture says.

The Jews rejected Christ - see what Christ says in John 5:39.
And Jesus is the way, not being an Anabaptist - see John 10:9.

" Psalm 15-21 English Standard Version (ESV)
Who Shall Dwell on Your Holy Hill?
A Psalm of David.
15 O Lord, who shall sojourn in your tent?
Who shall dwell on your holy hill?
2
He who walks blamelessly and does what is right
and speaks truth in his heart;
3
who does not slander with his tongue
and does no evil to his neighbor,
nor takes up a reproach against his friend;
4
in whose eyes a vile person is despised,
but who honors those who fear the Lord;
who swears to his own hurt and does not change;
5
who does not put out his money at interest
and does not take a bribe against the innocent.
He who does these things shall never be moved."

Bible verse of the day
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.
Psalm 32:8 | ESV
Blessed are those whose way is blameless,
who walk in the law of the Lord!
Psalm 119:1 | ESV
I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment.
1 Corinthians 1:10 | ESV
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Romans 12:2 | ESV
Do all things without grumbling or disputing,
that you may be blameless and innocent,
children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation,
among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast to the word of life.
Philippians 2:14-16a | ESV

In complete harmony with all Scripture , including those posted so far .....

ASV I desire therefore that the men pray in every place, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and disputing.
AMP Therefore I want the men in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands, without anger and disputing or quarreling or doubt [in their mind].
AMPC I desire therefore that in every place men should pray, without anger or quarreling or resentment or doubt [in their minds], lifting up holy hands.
BRG I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
CSB Therefore, I want the men in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or argument.

This strikes me as the most self-righteous, arrogant post I've seen yet in my short time on MennoNet. Outside of the body of Christ, are multitudes of false teachings and false teachers.
They often are brought to forums, worldwide, with few if any restrictions - and usually not recognized.
In the forums that uphold the truth of Scripture, those who visit with false values/ or who follow false teachers, don't get comfortable.
