As for the discussion on this thread... a lot of it was barking up the wrong tree. The focus was largely on a specific tree, and not the forest of which the tree was part of. I saw some efforts to get people to back up and look at the forest, but the attention was quickly refocused on a specific tree. (BTW, technically speaking, that was a brilliant strategy, whether intended or not.) But efforts to back up and see the forest are wise and ultimately, helpful.

It is all a little confusing. All at the same time as the meme group was changing from a page to a group, or something like that, I got friend requests from people named Dank Christian or something like that, and invites to join things I thought I already was a part of, and I still don't really know what the difference is between the page and the group and whether either of those are public or private. I haven't really bothered to figure it out... just watching mostly and checking out the memez...
