Amen.

I think I've been trying to do that. And that's a reason that I am taking the approach I am when teaching a Sunday School class on related issues - focusing directly on Scripture, avoiding labels that the world uses to discuss these things, avoiding the political tribalism.

But I also think we mature in doing that when we do that together with other Christians, seeing things from other perspectives while focusing on Scripture.

Trying to filter this through political partisanship won’t help comprehension. The links and the referential links on those pages should be viewed in the light of Biblical teachings.
I'm asking whether there is a clear Scriptural argument in these materials, and if so, for a summary.

There are so many people telling me that their materials are the ones that I should use, and I don't have time to watch or read everything someone finds in a Facebook feed or somewhere else on the Internet. If I want to have time to focus on what Scripture teaches, it's helpful to identify them clearly so I don't waste my time on things that are not firmly based in Scripture.

So when you point me to a 1-hour video from a Facebook feed, I ask this kind of question before devoting an hour to it: Is there real biblical thinking here, or is this political hand-waving and political faction building? If there is real biblical thinking, what passages is it based on, and how does she interpret and apply them today?

OK, wake me up if someone starts having a serious discussion about what the Bible teaches in this thread.

A very good video by HB Charles. Provides grist for the discernment mill without being sarcastic nor combative.

Here’s a link to something that I stumbled across: https://medium.com/@sentiremdraft/what- ... 92992b0757
Here’s an excerpt that totally resonates with me:
Our worldview is dictated by the Blessed Hope that is to come and never by the works of men.
When we try to blend our Christian worldview with whatever that suits the culture we live in, it hijacks the gospel and sabotages what little of time we have left in this world to prepare for eternity.

Good article and interesting too. It seems Calvinism is recognizing how secular ideas of social justice hijack the message of the Gospel.
