Seattle’s (former?) Capitol Hill neighborhood

Things that are not part of politics happening presently and how we approach or address it as Anabaptists.

I'd love to see you do that JM. Sincerely. How handy are you with mucking manure out of the barn?
Nope. Build a greenhouse and grow middle eastern and asian vegetables. You just can't get middle eastern kusa at any price. I know where to get the seeds.

I live in a wild fire prone area too, my house borders 80,000 acre national grassland where there was lightning fireS and controlled burns last year. I know what you are talking about.
Nonetheless, that particular case didn’t cause anything to worry about.

Much more damage was caused by rioters burning things they didn’t own without permission.

Over half of the state of Oregon is owned by the federal government. That is an economic problem for rural Oregon. It’s similar to an single person owning 52% of a state. It’s wealth consolidation and control.
No where near as much as if ADM or ConAgara owned it. You ok with me staking out 160 acres and moving in? Right next to you?

Big corporations controlling land and money is as bad as big government. In the Bay Area, Google / Facebook / Apple / Cisco own a great deal of real estate and have their own armed private security. This should concern us.
It sure concerns me! My daughter works at one of those places.

Actually, the feds are in my mind better than ADM and the like. At least we have some access to it.

I do believe Wade would approve of this, well, the second part of this. Give it time.

Try hard not to offend. Try harder not to be offended.

I'm not sure I approve... Maybe it is because my zeal isn't anywhere near yelling... Or maybe that's because I grew up in a family that who ever was the maddest/loudest "won."
My dad repeated a bunch of words last night over the phone I have been very quietly and slowly planting about God with him. Normally he rejects immediately - last night he told me he can't deny there is a God and just loves what it is going on with my family. When I said "God is love," he agreed heartily. And my parents have been talking with others looking forward to singing Christmas hymns again coming up at Christmas... :)
I haven't seen yelling about Christ have that type of effect...

I was more focusing on the message instead of the delivery. :)

there are many ways to share the gospel.
if only there could be equitable representation. ‘cause, there are many ways different persons of color share the message. this is one way, in a moment in time.

God bless them for making the effort. tough audience.

from what i’ve read over years, the “most persecuted” of black people are black conservatives, and black conservative Christians, because they experience harsh words and penalties - from others in the wider black community. i pray for them, i’m not sure i can imagine how difficult it is to live it.
they are typically quiet about it. but, the sacrifices they make should not be overlooked.
they pay a price for their beliefs. the criticisms and accusations they endure are rough.

strangely, now we see biden telling black voters “they ain’t black” if they don’t vote for him,
in this video, it appears some white protesters are doing the same to these women.
leave it to white people to take a course in “blackness?” then presume to know it all. :P
par for the course.

someone recently noted there are all kinds of black communities, i believe this.
similar to when i first came to MD wanting to learn about Mennonites, soon learning, there are many branches of Anabaptists .. it’s just fact.

similar to how UNorganized Christianity is as a whole.
only those knowing nothing about Christianity would think of Christianity as 1 organized religion.

Bok choy would irritate him more, or less, than jalapeños, beans, cilantro, and tomatillos?
They better stick with growing Merican hamberders if they don’t want to liberated with nice dose of democracy.
