Today ...

A place to relate, share, care for, and support one another. A place to share about our daily activities and events around the home.

Good one.

The craziness of the world came up in conversation today at work. A 67 year old man who leads our department looked at me and said, "Things are too complicated, we need to get back to a simple life. You go home, take care of your farm and spend time loving your family."

When I got home I was greeted by 10 baby ducklings waddling as fast as they can rushing at me. I got some food and let them eat from my hand for a bit.
I dropped off my lunch box in a quiet house. Then stepping back outside I could hear some of the children calling me. I walked around the shop to the sound of gentle running water in the creek to see my smiling wife sitting on our little bridge swinging her feet off the edge as the children were exploring the forest and ferns. I took my friends advice and went down and joined them.

BlueNoseAl was an MD member with plans to move to Nova Scotia to raise ducks.
(from memory.) i wish he would return for an update. Possibly Robert hears from him? :)

There was Searcher in Australia. Duck avatar. George may keep in touch with her?

This afternoon my sister and I were shopping at a Store Closing sale for a friend, looking at housecoats for her. I found some that were cute, and then I heard a voice say, "You don't want that." I looked around and saw no one. I reached inside my handbag, pulled out my phone and found the words just spoken.

I told Google to mind its own business.

Now THAT offends me. :)

I retired Siri (without a pension) by getting another phone. Now it's "Hey, Google."

Google is the antiChrist I’m told. The ultimate spy machine according to some.

Personally I would not know. I just know it doesn’t give as good of a result when I do searches.

It's a gorgeous day, sunny, low humidity, temps just right a bit breezy so hoping to eat dinner outside tonight. Celebrating my daughter in law's birthday along with our son and their 3 children. Looks to be a great day. :)

Today was a nice temporary relief from the heat High about 74°F.

I enjoyed selling at the farmers' market. We had 8 quarts of strawberries to sell from our small patch. The first customer came up and asked for 10 quarts. "Sorry, only two per customer today." "OK, I'll take two and my wife will take two."

Correction: my wife tells me it was fly pupae, not fly larvae that I had cleaned out of the crisper drawer. I apologize for any misunderstanding.

And no...we don’t have some sort of weird growing fly problem. My wife is storing fly pupae in the refrigerator.
