Sasha Krause: Missing
Re: Sasha Krause: Missing
I am quite surprised to see this, I fully expected this case to languish into obscurity.

Re: Sasha Krause: Missing
The suspect appears to be a person of plain background. As I learned from Jodie Foster’s character in Silence of the Lambs, killers tend to prey on their own ethnic group; the police tend to look for someone on the in group, not elsewhere, when looking for suspects.mike wrote:It is unfortunate how much suspicion and rumor-mongering has gone on concerning the possibility that this was done by someone close to Sasha or someone in her church. I hope all those who were involved in that feel the shame of what they have done.

I admit I was of the same mindset.barnhart wrote:I am quite surprised to see this, I fully expected this case to languish into obscurity.
I hope this brings some closure to the family.

That does make sense. It will be interesting to learn what the actual connections were between Gooch and the Farmington community.Josh wrote:The suspect appears to be a person of plain background. Re: Sasha Krause: Missing
It will, and it won't. It will also bring a host of other issues back to the surface, not that they've had a really long time to get buried. Now they have a face and a name to forgive, not just an unknown entity.steve-in-kville wrote:I hope this brings some closure to the family.

Re: Sasha Krause: Missing
Poem by someone in Farmington. Unsigned.
A mother's heart is breaking with pain
that's worse than death;
A mother's heart is crushed with shame that
stifles every breath...
For her boy, who once was pure and small,
and innocent - like mine! -
Full of boyish charms and lad-like dreams,
so tender and so fine!
And though time has changed him from a
boy to bitter man,
Yet her mother-heart remembers him, as
only mother's can.
Dear God, be merciful to her tonight! Enfold
her in a hug
This mother heart, whose ev'ry nerve, has borne
a wrenching tug.
And may we, as her sisters, guard with
jealous care the name
That to her is still so precious, though
besmirched with blackest shame!
May we lift her up in pray'r, and may our
words be kind and few
As we tuck to bed our small boys - who
will someday be men, too
A mother's heart is breaking with pain
that's worse than death;
A mother's heart is crushed with shame that
stifles every breath...
For her boy, who once was pure and small,

I do not know who wrote that but it is someone I would be proud to call a friend.

Re: Sasha Krause: Missing
At some point I think it would be good to have this thread locked. Particularly if begins to morphs into a M. Gooch thread.
I’d prefer, and think it more appropriate, that he, and the expected proceedings, have a separate thread.
Moving forward, I ask everyone that Mr. Gooch not be discussed on this thread, and I ask the Moderators to remove such posts.
