Socialistish? :) Yeah probably.
 But it is interesting that even the most left wing governments all of a sudden seem to get how important it is that businesses stay viable. Ultimately without them no one gets paid ever.

I would argue that any money they are given was only taken away from them and their workers in the first place.

Or maybe not since it appears the government has long been paying with money they never had in the first place. And that is only getting worse. The piper will still need to be paid.
The cliff has simply moved bearer on the horizon.
Temporary emergency actions are not comparable with everyday policy.
Spending everything everyday leaves nothing for emergencies.
Italy is an example.

“Doctor in Italy says he and other physicians are no longer permitted to put coronavirus patients who are over 60 on ventilators”
https://www.theblaze.com/news/doctor-in ... b-theblaze
.. The Post reported, "Peleg said that, from what he sees and hears in the hospital,
the instructions are not to offer access to artificial respiratory machines to patients over 60 as such machines are limited in number." ..

It's not surprising that Senate Democrats would view this as a similar opportunity. According to Guy Benson on Twitter, some of the things they wanted to see included were:

1) Unprecedented collective bargaining powers for unions
2) Increased fuel emissions standards for airlines
3) Expansion of wind and solar tax credits

(from the Article) "As recently as Saturday, Democratic Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (N.Y.) was hailing the measure as bipartisan".

Agreed it is time to work together, and that works both ways. However it has been proven that that there are some (not all) Democrat politicians who hate Trump and the people who voted for him, more than they care about this country, so working together isn't one of their strong points. Also, I fear the Democrats like Pelosi, want to sneak in socialist programs in their bill.
McConnell turned from the bipartisan bill. The Democrats don't want the corporate bailout to allow the money to be spent for corporate stock buy-back. I don't understand all the economic ramifications, but that seems to make sense.

I think both the Republican and Democratic proposals could be called socialistic. The Republicans want more socialist support for corporations while the Democrats want more socialistic support for individuals--but both sides want both.

Sourdough, soda bread, and flatbreads all are fine.

I agree. Maybe they are still stinging a bit from the record bonuses Goldman Sachs paid its executives after the 2008 bailouts.

Quickbreads will use baking powder or baking soda instead of yeast. If you are careful, you can use part of the dough from the last round of bread as a starter for your next batch. That is, by the way how sourdough came to be...tamination of starters.

In the gulf, yeast was a bit hard to come by for some reason. It was normally kept in back.

The Senate spent all weekend negotiating a bipartisan deal on the stimulus bill and agreements were reached. Then Nancy Pelosi flew in from California ordered a definitive “no” to the stimulus bill. And like mindless lemmings following their “dear leader” the Senate Democrats voted against the Stimulus bill. Now the Senate Democrats presented their own bill. The bill does broaden some of the aid to the American people, but it also includes stuff that has nothing to do with the virus. One of the Democrats was James Clyburn, who said, “The stimulus bill is a tremendous opportunity to restructure things to our vision”.

Please tell me how these items pertain to the virus.

-Corporate Board Diversity
-College Debt "relief"
-Election Auditing
-Canceling the debt of the Postal Service
-Same-day voter registration
-Requiring airlines to offset their emissions
-Funding for community newspapers
-Free internet
-$100,000,000 for NASA's environmental restoration group?
-Mandatory paid sick leave for every single business
-Hiding the citizenship status of College Students from the Census Bureau
