Agreed it is time to work together, and that works both ways. However it has been proven that that there are some (not all) Democrat politicians who hate Trump and the people who voted for him, more than they care about this country, so working together isn't one of their strong points. Also, I fear the Democrats like Pelosi, want to sneak in socialist programs in their bill.
A $500 Billion "bailout" for corporations is kind of Socialistish, isn't it?

Could these be connected, i mean if you are desperate enough, there are recipes.

We have PLENTY of alcohol- but - frequently out of bread lately. I think people are actually trying to make their own bread!
I have recipes for that too. Russian black bread, with rye flour, we had like 20-30 lbs. of white flour on the shelf, and rye flour is not hard to come by.

I hope the bulk food stores in Holmes County are allowed to be open since people seem to be wanting to make bread. Russian black bread sounds healthy!

Hard to make bread without yeast, I guess you can use some yeast-free recipes.

My sis-in-law said there was a man in the store buying a hundred pound bag of flour, another of sugar, and of oatmeal. He mentioned that he doesn't know how to use it, but at least he has it, if he needs it.

I'm finding it hard to find vitamin c.

He is buying 100 lbs of flour but has no idea how to use it? But he has it if he needs it? For what? to throw at his neighbours?

My daughter has begun a sourdough starter. :D
My granddaughter reports it “smells awful!”
i pointed out the word, “sour.” :P

My son in So Cal tells me grocery shelves are quite empty.
He told me he foresaw this coming, so has been buying a few extra things for weeks.
He doesn’t usually keep anything!

His girlfriend is finishing her doctorate in applied mathematics right now! Stress for her!
He is keeping her fed, otherwise, “she’ll live on chicken nuggets+coke.”
i wasn’t sure if their governor would allow them to see each other.

i guess my hope to have a grad get-together for her is out. :-| :)

Socialistish? :) Yeah probably. But it is interesting that even the most left wing governments all of a sudden seem to get how important it is that businesses stay viable. Ultimately without them no one gets paid ever. I would argue that any money they are given was only taken away from them and their workers in the first place. Or maybe not since it appears the government has long been paying with money they never had in the first place. And that is only getting worse. The piper will still need to be paid. The cliff has simply moved bearer on the horizon.

I am not crazy for corporate bail outs, but who is it that you think, employs millions of middle class Americans in this country?

The Democrats might not agree with the specifics on the rescue plan. But why not rescue the poorest Americans by passing that aspect of package? Get the money out to poor and middle class ASAP. There is plenty of time to do their bickering and maneuvering for their personal, partisan, and political agenda, later.

House Democrats saw the stimulus package as a way to restructure things to fit their vision (quoting Clyburn), pushing a much broader package. It's not surprising that Senate Democrats would view this as a similar opportunity. According to Guy Benson on Twitter, some of the things they wanted to see included were:

1) Unprecedented collective bargaining powers for unions
2) Increased fuel emissions standards for airlines
3) Expansion of wind and solar tax credits
