Really good interview. I have ordered his book at the local library. It is over an hour long, but good discussions do take time. No soundbites, but good talk.

Into the lion's den. Epstein talks to Google.

Over an hour long, but he really resents his ideas well.

I have seen some of his talks on YouTube and he does present the facts pretty well.

And just like that, no one seemed to care about climate change any more. The Earth Strikes Back?

If man made CO₂ caused the current climate, then we’d better get ready for Global Freezing. Man-made CO₂ emissions are plummeting.

Of course, one of the goals of so called environmentalists was to choke off independent free markets and small business. That’s now happened for other reasons, so the globalists and environmentalists are happy - except they weren’t expecting their own private flights to Alpine ski resorts or their favourite organic vegan coffeeshop to also close.

And now the globalist demand that those of us in the average, rural states send all our medical equipment to their wealthy cities, because they did not prepare.

CO2 admissions linger in the atmosphere for between 20 and 200 years so we are currently living with CO2 concentrations that were emitted during the 19th and 20th centuries and it is going to take a LOT longer than one pandemic to put a dent in the CO2 levels. What this is doing is perhaps slowing down the INCREASE.

https://www.theguardian.com/environment ... remain-air

The lifetime in the air of CO2, the most significant man-made greenhouse gas, is probably the most difficult to determine, because there are several processes that remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Between 65% and 80% of CO2 released into the air dissolves into the ocean over a period of 20–200 years. The rest is removed by slower processes that take up to several hundreds of thousands of years, including chemical weathering and rock formation. This means that once in the atmosphere, carbon dioxide can continue to affect climate for thousands of years.
In terms of climate, the Gulf of Mexico is currently running about 3 degrees hotter than normal which suggests this summer and fall may be an especially bad season for hurricanes and tornadoes in the Southeast. A big Cat 5 hurricane slamming into a major city like Miami, Tampa, New Orleans, or Houston in the midst of a peak pandemic medical crisis is going to be apocalyptic. https://www.washingtonpost.com/weather/ ... ne-strike/

Nice speculation there, Ken. The earth probably adapts to changes in emissions, which means we’re about to experience a shock since our emissions have gone down so much.

Either that, or man made emissions make zero difference at all. In which case the globalists are still wrong.
