Boy Scouts Of America Files For Bankruptcy As It Faces Hundreds Of Sex-Abuse Claims

The Boy Scouts of America has filed for bankruptcy, a sign of the century-old organization's financial instability as it faces some 300 lawsuits from men who say they were sexually abused as Scouts.

The organization says it will use the Chapter 11 process to create a trust to provide compensation to victims. Scouting programs will continue throughout.

The Boy Scouts had been exploring the possibility of bankruptcy since at least December 2018, when the group hired a law firm for a possible Chapter 11 filing. Chapter 11 usually involves the debtor making a reorganization plan to keep its business alive and pay its creditors over time.

i’m no expert. but, i understand the formula goes like this:
A. Not all homosexuals are pedophiles.
B. Every male who sexually abuses/rapes male children/teens/minors, is a homosexual.

in the case of the BSA abuses, i don’t find Josh’s statement inaccurate, or over reaching.

it can’t be known how things would be if not for the historical ban.
BSA might have disintegrated decades ago. or, some other scenario.

the one thing that is upsetting all apple carts over sexual predators, no matter what institution, what church, what culture/subculture is the internet as the light of day.

i’m praying there will be big changes in prevention.
i fear, if this does not result, the most horrible thing will result: normalizing pedophile sexual predators.

in my view, this is “THE” big battle going on right now. it’s widespread.
the earmarks of what happens in these cases are identical, no matter secular or faith setting.
the denial, the coverups, the hiding, the threats, fears, etc. it’s the same in all settings.

there are MANY with power, money, political savvy+influence who are fully invested in normalizing pedophile sexual predators, they call it “love.”

those now leading BSA could potentially play a huge role in normalizing pedophilia.
i sense this is a goal, not openly spoken, but not very well “papered over,” either.

i hope the majority does not “go sleepy” on this, as has been done over decades (to get us here).
