Going by what I see RP posting on Facebook, I'm almost thinking I wouldn't trust cooking steaks to anyone else.Grace wrote:I think we need to plan a MennoMeet this summer in OH and make Ragpicker cook!Wouldn't that be a MennoMeat?Weber or not we call it that, skipping it would be a missed steak.
How did we go from a deleted thread to this ? Nevertheless I had to chuckle over the comments. And I am not sure I want my steak cooked by a picker of rags.

I’m actually a dumpster diver too. Be very wary of letting me cook ANYTHING for you.Grace wrote:I think we need to plan a MennoMeet this summer in OH and make Ragpicker cook!Wouldn't that be a MennoMeat?Weber or not we call it that, skipping it would be a missed steak.

Let him cook you a steak, and you'll eat great steak for a day. Buy a grill from him and you'll eat great steak for a lifetime.

Re: Where is the Sasha Krause thread?
Would it be too much to ask that some kind of notice be posted as to why a thread is moved to moderation?
Look, threads disappear on some social media sites with a fair amount of regularity in some quarters. Frequently it is because the "owner" does not want to se uncomfortable points made/questions asked. The highly reformed ones are notorious for this, just bring up 1 John 2:2 or the inconsistencies in the Three Forms of Unity and see what happens.
I would ask if a tread disappears, at least leave something in general view that this has happened and why. At least that will avoid 7 pages of speculation.
Oh, yes. I do not trust government, and particularly their armed agents. As a young man, I saw them carry away one of my friends for refusing induction in the army. In my part of the country, they are demonstrably corrupt, and in some parts of my fair city, act more like an occupation army than anything else that I can think of. Historically, the united states government has persecuted us when it suits their purpose, and if it suits their purpose they will be coming for your sons and likely your daughters again.
Respect, yes. Obey yes. Pay taxes yes. But trust? I cannot see why any Anabaptist would.

Re: Where is the Sasha Krause thread?
Received an email update, and at the bottom was this:
We got a report from the Sheriff’s department stating that they have noticed a significant reduction in chatter and misinformation regarding the investigation, and they are commending us for that. I pass that on for your encouragement: keep it up!

Re: Where is the Sasha Krause thread?
But what is Sasha's family asking for? What is their church asking for? If they tell us the government is getting this wrong and ask us to get involved, I'm all ears.Judas Maccabeus wrote:Oh, yes. They are going through a very difficult time. I would rather not make this worse for them by engaging in gossip.

That was just a general statement, indicating I have little faith in “official” information, or in the motives in government in general. They are not our friends.Bootstrap wrote:But what is Sasha's family asking for? What is their church asking for? Moving forward, my request is that threads or posts do not simply disappear.

Re: Where is the Sasha Krause thread?
I think it would be helpful if a short explanation was given when a thread is removed.
