Re: Where is the Sasha Krause thread?
I'm sorry that my state as a "Newbie" and "Anonymous Stranger" brings you discomfort. This is not about me or about you. I am not going to satisfy your ragpicking but if the mods contact me privately, I will surely pass on the relevant contact info if they need it.ragpicker wrote: I am still highly uncomfortable with an anonymous stranger showing up and claiming to speak for the family. More so for LE.

Re: Where is the Sasha Krause thread?
Please don't isolate one minor, but relevant aspect of my concern and make it "the issue". Your status as a newbie and as an anoymous stranger bring me absolutely no discomfort in of themselves, so to isolate that issue and use it to marginalize my concern is... concerning.jcxm360 wrote:I'm sorry that my state as a "Newbie" and "Anonymous Stranger" brings you discomfort. You don't owe me a single bit of information. If you notice, I framed it as questions that should be asked, not questions that you have to answer to me. Something seems weird here. You're asking to have things done here, and claiming to speak on behalf of the family/LE. it's entirely fair and wise to ask a few questions. It's troubling when there's not only resistance to those questions, but attempts are made to marginalize the questioner's concerns through taking things out of context.

My concern is how we move forward in the future in similar situations. Are we gonna remove threads under similar circumstances?

Re: Where is the Sasha Krause thread?
I propose a mod contacts jcxm360 and asks the questions Ragpicker suggested need to be asked, tho it's anybody's guess who gets to determine "if they need it."jcxm360 wrote:if the mods contact me privately, I will surely pass on the relevant contact info if they need it.

Re: Where is the Sasha Krause thread?
My apologies Ragpicker, your concern is definitely valid. I don't claim to officially speak for the family and I was just passing on the info that was given to me and did not feel comfortable publicly sharing details of who I am and who spoke to me. Send me a message privately if you still need clarification. Thanks.ragpicker wrote:Please don't isolate one minor, but relevant aspect of my concern and make it "the issue". Re: Where is the Sasha Krause thread?
Taking this thread down under these circumstances sets a really bad precedent. Makes it look like a possible cover-up in progress, even though there may not be one. With all of the other stuff going on, I will repeat the Washington Post motto “Truth dies in the Dark “.

Re: Where is the Sasha Krause thread?
Right. Truth dies in the Dark. Also, truth without love is brutality. Something being omitted from Mennonet hardly constitutes silence or darkess. I've been forwarded multiple mass email updates this morning on the case, so I don't see there being silence. Is it Mennonets mandate to publish and defend knowledge period? Or is this site an extension of the close knit Mennonite community with the flexibility to inject sympathy into the matter and concede privacy, to extend courtesy, when asked for in these rare moments? Does our curious desire to know the details outweigh the families desire for privacy at this time? I've posted details, and I have no problem stopping if asked.
They aren't asking us to not talk about it at all are they? That is a question, not a rhetorical question.
Is Mennonet a third party watch dog, or part of the community?

Re: Where is the Sasha Krause thread?
If my wife fell into sin, myself or one of us was kidnapped... I wouldn't want the Mennonite gossip chain. I respect the request of the family and the moderators for doing it. There is nothing hidden here and if there was, unless it somehow affects us it should be a local body only thing. Cam helping search isn't a problem either.
If ya'll arm chair complainers have a real problem with deleting the thread, go there and help them look for her rather than speculating from afar

Speaking of dogs, CAM's SAR team has a search dog operating according to my sister in law who is in the area for a wedding.RZehr wrote:Right. Truth dies in the Dark.
