Yesterday I noticed someone with a NKJV bible and on the page before Genesis 1 there was a detailed color picture and scripture references of the flat earth - apparently there are some very serious people about it if they will put in the Holy Bible. That much more reason to share facts rather than ridicule.appleman2006 wrote:I will admit I had not taken the same logic to those that believe in things like the flat earth and possibly it is that since I do not actually know anybody that seriously believes in a flat earth I have a hard time believing that anybody could really take what seems like a ridiculous and far fetched and impossible idea, at all seriously.
What do you think of flat earth theory?

Actually one other man uses the NIV and a few times we have been finding that his bible says almost the opposite as the rest of ours... So with that and the flat earth NKJV maybe I need to become a KJV only advocate...RZehr wrote:That’s why we should only use the KJV!

I'd propose a great homeschool group trip to view the edge of the earth. It must be a spectacular site - certainly there is a state or national park there.violet wrote:Our homeschool group just had a new family move in who supports the flat earth theory. They would like to take all of the teens of the group and lead activities with them. I am quite hesitant.

I happen to be reading the book of Revelation and came across this passage in chapter 7 verse 1:

How could the angels stand on the four corners of the earth if the earth is a globe? Has to be square to have four corners -> flat? And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

I've heard the verse sincerely argued exactly thatSwiss Bro wrote:I happen to be reading the book of Revelation and came across this passage in chapter 7 verse 1:

I think there is probably a space warp there, so you can continue from one part of the edge to another without noticing the transition. It's a mirage that fools people into thinking they are on a ball, as the geometry is identical.Dan Z wrote: I'd propose a great homeschool group trip to view the edge of the earth. And infinite improbability generators.
