Although I won't be around for how continuing to run up the debt with continual deficits will play out, it seems like there is little real concern that someday there won't be any money for anything other than paying interest on the debt. We have developed a culture that is quite comfortable with spending money they don't have to get all of these promises made for them. How does the saying go - 'someday the chickens will come home to roost'. I think I've been quite fortunate to live in the era of time I have lived.
Strange to me how people can fear climate change predictions but not fear the inevitable consequence of going further and further into debt. Well, perhaps they think we can just declare bankruptcy and magically start over, I don't know.
I'm trying to stay unattached to what is going on but struggle as it is quite 'in my face' all the time. We need to encourage one another to keep an eternal Kingdom perspective.
I hope I do live long enough to see how this threat of climate disaster due to man's part in it, proves to be wrong. I even suspect many will have to 'eat crow' when they see the upside of what more of CO2 is having on the planet. God has said before just how foolish the 'wisdom' of man is and it may prove itself again. I may be wrong, it has happened before

) but I really don't lose any sleep over it or other earthly concerns. How great it is to be able to turn any and all cares over to God and enjoy the peace He gives. Something this world can't give nor can it take away.
O Canada, my temporary residence, thankful I live here but just passing through. My true home is somewhere else. Getting closer to going there. What a day that will be !
