I never heard of the Appalachian until now. How many congregations are there?

If Jesus were alive today, which of these things do you think he would he object to and preach against?
And Why?
And Why?

Having been removed from those circles for a while now. I lost touch with them. What was the Appalachian split about? Internet?ken_sylvania wrote: Lehman Street - I would not describe as an EPMC split. Maybe a splinter at best, considering that Wilmer Martin and some of his people did come from EPMC.
Hebron - Is Northeast, split off of Pilgrim - Initial leadership consisted mostly of the original leadership of the Pilgrim movement
Appalachian - Split off of EPMC last year, receiving bishop oversight from Meadow Springs Old Order Mennonite Church until summer 2019 when they ordained their own bishop.

If Christ were alive today, he'd have some heavier issues to preach against than red cars and tractor pulls.Ken wrote:If Jesus were alive today, which of these things do you think he would he object to and preach against?

Somewhat, although I think that would be an oversimplication. There were aspects of how the decision on internet was handled in EPMC that didn't go down well with some, but there were various other things in play as well.steve-in-kville wrote:Having been removed from those circles for a while now. Such as whether one should carry a Roman pack only as far as required, or a bit further??steve-in-kville wrote:If Christ were alive today, he'd have some heavier issues to preach against than red cars and tractor pulls.Ken wrote:If Jesus were alive today, which of these things do you think he would he object to and preach against?

Jesus lowered himself to the form of a servant. Lots of relativity in your statement there Steve that could generate some great discussionsteve-in-kville wrote:You'd lower yourself to drive a red car??joshuabgood wrote:I need a "None of the above option," Otherwise I can't participate.![]()
