The best part is that you can replant immediately, even while the spray is still wet! No guarantees on the new plants growing though.

Planted tomatoes, beans and corn this evening.

Tomatoes we started from seed - Kellog's Breakfast, Carolina Gold, Great White, Purple Cherokee, Beefsteak, Amish Paste, & Rainbow blend.

Beans- yellow, green & Roma.

The corn is not sweet corn. I think it was called Reid's yellow dent. We'd like to try making our own cornmeal.

my grdaughter tried her hand with a couple of pea plants last year. in a pot on their condo stoop.
surprisingly, without much sun, she harvested a few peas!

i’m suggesting she try lettuce this year.
i think it might do well. i esp like Romaine for the garden.

Add a couple of radish seeds to her lettuce seeds.
Growing things is so much fun, especially when the children can grow something for themselves.

Berlin Seeds has a pack of mixed seeds for the children. They can buy it and grow it and send in a note telling about it. They pick two winners. Its for the 12 and under crowd. Our children enjoyed planting and growing the seeds.

While it is February, one can taste the full joys of anticipation.
Spring stands at the gate, with her fingers on the latch.
