@Ernie thanks but I have to say that that doesn't help me; blocked by filter.

It says
Apparently, millennials as a group of people, which are those born from approximately 1984 and after, are tough to manage. They are accused of being entitled and narcissistic, self interested, unfocused and lazy - but entitled is the big one.

One could argue that every generation says this about the one after it. Then again, I'm a millennial myself.

You can add me to the list as well, along with shadrach and francis. So that brings us up to at least four known millennials on MN. I believe there are a few others as well.

I don't think it's accurate to say [insert generation] is [blank] and [blank] based on the actions of some in that age group. Millennials have a bad reputation of being "entitled and narcissistic, self interested, unfocused and lazy". This stigma of shaming all millennials because society says they're lazy and entitled is not a good representation of us, and it could very well be contributing to the whole reason we have this stigma in the first place.

Biblical Age Of Accountability Raised To 30 For Millennials
https://babylonbee.com/news/biblical-ag ... illennials
GRAND RAPIDS, MI—A national task force of Bible scholars has voted to raise the biblical age of accountability to 30 for late-blooming millennials. According to this decision, millennials who die before age 30 will receive automatic entry into the kingdom of heaven along with complimentary participation trophies.

Focus on the Family founder James Dobson wrote the majority decision for the task force, explaining that it was “no longer practical to assume that the traditional age of accountability—usually around 12 years old—would be the age by which God held millennials responsible for their eternal destiny.”

“Case studies revealed chronic immaturity, lack of rational decision-making skills, embrace of socialism revealing serious mental abnormalities, and a strong desire to spend each pay check on craft beer, artisan coffee beverages, and slouchy beanies,” Dobson added.

The decision was praised by millennials worldwide, who said “Since our circumstances are not our own fault at all, we totally deserve this decision, obviously.”

From my experience with this I have in that middle generation where I wasn't a Millenial nor Generation X but sort of a hybrid. I first grew with knowing about computers until we bought our first family computer however it would be considered ancient in terms of today's technology. However I am part of a generation that knew what it was like to still use pen and paper even though I have adopted much of the use technology.

However what I have noticed with millenials is that they are indeed being scoffed at by boomers quite a bit. They are often ridiculed and told that there lazy, and entitled, and can't do a day's work. However this is completely untrue. I find alot of the boomers had it too easy growing up. There is substantial evidence that the economy during the 1950s and 60s was much better shape but they always like to tell millenials they have it easier which is completely false. Economic crash of 2008, rising costs of living, minimum wage jobs that can't even pay the bills, etc. (The list goes on and on) And I have personally experienced alot of hardship too. I have even asked to join a hutterite colony in my area because I believe in communal living with God's people however I also know that living in a colony also protects people from economics storms. I am seeking out people to want to do intentional community living. Hoping to find people who want to be set up for off grid living. Doesn't have to be a colony however I would certainly consider joining a true born again evangelical hutterite colony if they gave me the oppourtunity. They have their problems like every one else when it comes to faith.

Watch Noam Chomsky Requiem for the American Dream. He has a spot on analysis of what happening today and the corruption that is taking place especially the USA.

A majority of the unsaved and lost boomer generation that sit back and do nothing when the system is treating them good. There the ones that always stifle free speech and think that people who point out the stuff that is wrong are the crazy people. The more you research, the crazier you sound to ignorant people. And often their attitude towards the issues around the world are usually something to the effect of "well it's not happening my back yard, so why should care/do anything about." Its only when it does "happen in their back yard" that they actually care. And by then it usually too late. And they believe main stream media hook, line, and sinker, which keeps them asleep and unaware of the large amount of legitimate problems that many millenials face that aren't caused by there own doing. When they something from an alternative news source they usually view as "well that can't be true, it isn't coming from CTV or CNN, CBC." They are probably just 'making it up". Because you know the system constituting of the government, the media, and corporations are infallible. They could never do anything wrong because there just too big of entity to do so

Boomers are unique in being one of the first generations in America to leave their offspring and grandchildren poorer and worse off than themselves whilst simultaneously criticising their progeny profusely.

It’s really quite something. They should stop and pause and ask themselves who, exactly, raised their children and who shaped the culture they grew up in.
