One of the points I’ve been trying to make is wherever there is a corporate or group voice, that voice is pursued relentlessly by special interest groups, activists, associations, political entities and the number one motivator- profits. If you can think critically for yourself, find out for yourself what is in your health’s best interest.
Rather than look in-depth at the way the American Medical Association constantly tries to take away more and more scope of practice away from nearly every healthcare discipline- Dentistry, Optometry, the Chiropractic profession, etc. in order to increase their own revenues, I decided to give an example from my youth.
I grew up raising hogs. Whenever the supply of crops I raised ran out, I would pay to have a local feed mill haul out to the farm a custom batch. One time I had a nutrition consultant order a batch of feed that I agreed to pay a premium price for at a local mill. He paid a surprise visit to that mill while they were grinding my order of feed, only they were diluting the ration with cheaper ingredients.
Unfortunately the FDA which is supposed to be a watchdog against such activities when it comes to healthcare, will approve many questionable prescription pharmaceuticals (just read the accompanying list of side effects).

I think we need to be careful here, we use antibiotics, antipyretics and many other drugs that have saved lives. We also need to recognize that if we choose to not use a vaccine for any number of reasons that we need to be a little quicker to keep a child home with a cough or low grade fever before sending them to school and discovering later that they had the whooping cough or measles.
When I have the resources to do so, my family will go to Japan to get the MMR they have that doesn't have the fetal cell line in it.
We also have to recognize that without vaccines, small pox would still be a major threat even in the USA.
While I personally will not use some of them they do prevent these illnesses most of the time and will not spread if the majority of the population has the vaccine. I really think the articles by Wolf Miggiani MD in "The Remnant" on vaccines present a very balanced view of all the sides and does it justice. I was annoyed at him personally until I read his last one. He holds a position like-minded with myself but critically addresses some deception on both sides. The last issue isn't up online yet, but its the one addressing the fetal cells.
I did get my flu shot this year, personally if not required, I wouldn't but I have no religious objection to it.

My concern and my main one is that social acceptance by Christians of the fetal cell lines is going to lead to further fetal cell lines and there already have been more lines developed. There is talk about how fetal cell developed vaccines have less reactions and are safer. China has developed multiple aborted fetal cell lines in the last 30 years.

This fetal cell vaccine problem is only a step down from organ donation from aborted babies... After all... why not?
Very balanced take soloist. I do respect this position.

The long list of possible side effects with possible being a key word is actually proof to me of the thoroughness of the process. If in testing there is even a micro chance it cold cause those side effects they must be listed. However in most cases permission is only given if the overall benefit is considered to offset any potential risk. Everything in life that we do has risks, even going to a lot of chiropractors.

I am sure you know of chiropractors that occasionally bend the rules of your profession for their potential gain. Does that make all chiropractors bad? Of course not. Just like your feed mill example. I would almost guarantee that if that feed mill did that on a regular basis they are no longer in business.
I repeat there are bad players in every industry. That is why we have regs. But even when the regulators do not catch them which they never will all the time market forces tend to take care of that.
What I find disheartening is how common it is starting to be to try and discredit whole industries or methods of doing something based on little more than hearsay and/or conspiratorial accusations. I think that is beneath us.

Are you saying that you don't believe vaccines are effective, or that you oppose them on moral grounds, or both?

I think where i am located, chiropractors are seen as being just as legitimate as medical doctors. In fact, locally, I think most chiropractors have been more trustworthy than our medical doctors. I believe some doctors have retired from practice while others are being investigated. Seems our county had some of the highest prescription drug rates in the country.

All of our children are vaccinated. However a few years ago only half of them were. We had a chiropractor walk up to us in a dimly lit restaurant and the chiropractor told me accurately which of our children were vaccinated and which ones weren't by just looking at their eyes....

I'm glad you're not making me answer that question with a yes or a no! I do have a problem with the current ingredients of modern present day vaccines. The fetal tissue aspect is definitely a moral issue, however, if it could be proven beyond the shadow of a doubt that mercury can cause autism or be linked to future Alzheimer's disease (it cannot be definitively proven at this point), I would also consider that a moral issue.
Have vaccines effectively reduced the occurrence of lethal infectious diseases? Absolutely.
The reason I asked in the survey if folks view the flu shot the same as infant/childhood vaccines is I do not.
