Too cold for our old vehicle.
One man tried to help and give a jump start.
Still wouldn't work.
Probably battery or connection...?

He left and I went back into the hospital. My parents came and said maybe we need new glow plugs?

Then a nurse came and said that someone that wanted to help anonymously saw us having trouble and wanted us to have this:. $300 gift certificate to get new battery and connections.

God bless that person!
i hope it doesn't cost that much for your new battery. i believe the last one i bought was about $80 installed .. i was recovering from surgery, my daughter did the "leg work" getting it done.
so far, so good with it. i try to keep aware of potential problems. i found this about batteries:

i'm so glad someone was there to lend a hand with costs. very nice. :D

Today I ate an alligator sausage Po' Boy. It was pretty good. Musky, but less gamey than elk.

We had rain yesterday & evening, then turning cold again, with everything covered in ice again this morning. (I spent quite a while chipping ice off of our drive yesterday, which would have all melted if I would have just left it, and now it's all covered again. And I have "tennis elbow" from over-doing it in a remodel job a month or so ago, and now it's worse again.) Anyway, our services were all called off for this morning. No Church.... Anyone else?

Got bumped off our flight out of New Orleans. Will fly out tomorrow instead. Meanwhile, home has subzero temperatures and a foot of snow. Here it's 47 and raining...so poor me?

Did you thank them for bumping you?

Try hard not to offend. Try harder not to be offended.
I think I am funnier than I really am.

-24°F here this morning, still only 10° below zero at 2:45. Church was canceled and so my wife and I watched "God's Not Dead 2" Both videos are worth watching and a challenge to our faith as well as to our willingness to step outside our little boxes to take opportunities that God gives us to demonstrate his love and reality.
